Cobalt and foreign influence: How global powers compete for Africa’s rich resources

 

Cobalt, one of the richest resources in Congo, is needed in Europe and America for computers, telephones, and car accessories, which has given rise to the deliberate, continuous Ebola outbreaks in the country.

According to new data released by UNESCO  (Institute for Statistics), about 263 million children and youth are out of school. This represents approximately one-quarter of the European population.
