How Mahama's leadership transformed Ghana's economy in less than a year

Ghana's President John Mahama

Ghana's President John Mahama

Ghanaians witnessed the most uncomfortable, dire situation, arrogance, corruption, and heartless governance for a period of eight years, before all came to an end in 2024. During the eight agonizing years of state capture, widespread corruption, and the collapse of banking institutions, the impact took its drastic toll on the economy. However, after Mahama took control in less than a year, things have improved. What did he do?

In January 2025, President John Mahama took over the worst form of Ghana after a protracted period of horrible economic calamity that had emerged under Akufo-Addo's administration. A significant amount of debt, high inflation, and a weakening currency plagued the economy. Due to the severe challenges Mahama faced, Ghanaians had unfavorable impressions that he would fail, but they were disappointed.

His policies were part of a broader strategy to restore stability and reduce dependency on foreign aid. At the same time, he needs money to fund a wide range of activities, such as public goods and services, healthcare, and education. His policies and economic initiatives included rolling out a 24-hour economy to boost business activity, emergency services, and social protection programs like pensions and unemployment benefits.

Despite the nation's high debt, which has negatively impacted many institutions, such as the Electricity Company of Ghana and the COCOBOD, Mahama made every effort to address the unpredictable, intermittent power outages, or "Dumsor," that plague the country. It also promoted agriculture by putting policies in place that would allow the government to buy excess produce from farmers to prevent food waste.

A complicated combination of internal variables or domestic troubles that had developed in the eight years of extensive corruption and money laundering was the cause of Mahama's economic difficulties. However, he did steer clear of the harsh criticism and instead concentrated on finding quick solutions to fulfill several important pledges during his first 120 days in office, signaling a proactive beginning to his second term.

The quick nomination and parliamentary ratification of a complete cabinet, comprising 42 ministers and regional and non-cabinet officials, in less than a month, is one of the significant achievements. By appointing fewer ministerial and deputy ministerial nominees in the first 30 days than the previous government, Mahala has also made great strides toward establishing the Fourth Republic's leanest and most efficient government.

Additionally, he organized the National Education Forum to realign policy direction in the education sector and started the National Economic Dialogue, which brought stakeholders and experts together to create a long-term recovery program. To counteract environmental degradation, social and environmental initiatives have also been created, such as the "Blue Water" and "Tree for Life" programs.

The One Million Coders Program and the Mahama Cares social protection framework were also introduced to help vulnerable groups and develop young people's digital literacy. The National Cathedral project was scrapped, Hajj tickets were lowered from GH¢75,000 to GH¢62,000, and university residential facility costs were lowered from GH¢3,000 to GH¢2,500, among other noteworthy accomplishments.

The government has also revived investigations into the murder of investigative journalist Ahmed Hussein-Suale and launched new ones into the violence around the 2020 election, including the shootings in Ayawaso West Wuogon. Prominent politicians have been arrested or questioned in 280 incidents of suspected corruption since the establishment of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) preparatory committee to look into corruption.

The creation of the Gold Board to legalize the nation's gold trade and the reorganization of inefficient State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) are two other measures Mahama has taken to modernize state institutions. To encourage job creation, the government has initiated the Adwumawura Program and provided seed funding for the Women's Development Bank. To further establish Ghana as a popular travel destination, the Black Star Experience, a flagship tourism and cultural revitalization initiative, was launched.

President John Mahama reaffirmed "the need for Africa to move beyond aid dependency amid U.S. aid cuts and rising trade tariffs" in a recent interview with Time Magazine, which was based on the ideas and philosophy of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the first Ghanaian leader. He called the $156 million cut in USAID spending on governance, education, and health a "wake-up call" that would eventually encourage African countries to become more independent.

The Ghanaian leader acknowledged the short-term challenges but said Ghana had adjusted its national budget to make up the difference, adding, "We're fine, but not so in some other countries," where school feeding and other programs have been affected. Under his "Resetting Ghana" agenda, the cedi has strengthened by 30%, and inflation has been cut in half, leading to affordable prices of commodities throughout the country.

In less than a year, if the NDC government has accomplished this and, more significantly, has taken the fight against corruption to a new level, resulting in the arrest and questioning of some politicians, then President John Mahama should be commended. The only thing left Ghanaians are anxiously waiting for is to imprison all corrupt politicians found guilty, which will assess whether he is a serious and sincere leader who would keep his word.

The famous Ghanaian doctor in the Czech Republic still unknown in his homeland

Many Ghanaians have achieved remarkable success in their careers in foreign countries, yet they are unknown in their home country. One of the most well-known obstetricians in the Czech Republic is Patrice Awonseba Baba Musah.

An obstetrician is a doctor who specializes in pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. They tend to women during pregnancy, assist with labor and delivery, and provide aftercare. Obstetricians handle any problems that may arise during pregnancy and delivery, safeguarding the health and safety of both the mother and the fetus.

Although Ghana is home to many talented individuals, many of them struggle daily to get into the professional schools they want to attend, and some of the few who do get the opportunity to study abroad often do not return home for a variety of reasons, such as poor political policies, widespread corruption, and underdevelopment.

Born in Bolgatanga, the northern part of Ghana, the 39-year-old obstetrician’s father was a clerk, and his mother was a cook at a nursing school. In the Czech media, Baba Musah is referred to as "an angel among healthcare workers" for helping mothers give birth to their children safely.

Musah claims, "As a kid, I was always quite bashful and shy during talks with the girls," not realizing he would eventually work as a gynecologist. In the face of so many challenges, he even imagined himself in a priest's uniform. However, the chance to see a birth at the beginning of his studies ignited his desire to pursue a career in medicine.

Musah decided to go for a scholarship overseas after excelling in general science courses in high school in Ghana, including physics, maths, English, and agriculture. However, due to technological issues, his initial application for a scholarship to study pharmacy in Russia was rejected. In 2005, he made another attempt and was successful in the Czech Republic.

Patrice Awonseba Baba Musah is the chief of the ambulance service at the Institute for Mother and Child Care (PMD) in Prague-Podol, where he has been in service for seven years. During his medical training in the Czech Republic, he studied many things, including how to get over his fear of swimming.

Musah claims that in 1992, Ghana's population reached a peak of 14 million. "I believe that the census at that time never took place in many settlements located across the river." Nonetheless, due to improvements in healthcare and the fact that many newborns survive, there are currently 28 million people in the nation. "Births sometimes compound superstitions," he adds.

Some families would rather have their babies born on a particular day so they may give them names. Issues arise as they begin to give birth to another day. "This refers to the royal families' requirement that a child is born on a specific day to become king," he says.

"I had no idea I wanted to be a doctor until I received a scholarship to study pharmacy." "I am not the worst student. At a language school in Mariánské Lázně, a town in the Cheb District of the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic, a teacher asserted, "I could study medicine." "She made me apply to medical school," Musah said. I'm a doctor now because I tried it."

The obstetrician and gynecologist who decided to remain in the Czech Republic after graduation delivered thousands of babies. He was nominated for an Angel Award for healthcare professionals in 2021 and took first place in one of the highest medical awards given to Czech medical professionals for his charisma and sense of humor in the medical field. Adam Vojtch, the Minister of Health, congratulated the winners.

In an interview with Helena KOOV, Musah stated, "The valuation was the sheer participation in the event." I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised, which made me extremely happy. Receiving recognition for your efforts is fantastic. It also suggests that I'll need to work more to please others, especially women.

There are other medical professionals in Patrice Musah's family, including three midwifery-trained sisters and a younger brother with a degree in finance. In addition to being a hard-working doctor, he loves football. Dr. Musah wants to help the health sector in Ghana after working for fifteen years in the Czech Republic, but will he be able to accomplish so in spite of his love for Ghana?

Tribalism prevents many Ghanaians from appreciating what they have. Considering the ongoing discrimination and hatred towards people from Ghana's northern regions, who can blame Patrice Awonseba Baba Musah for not going back to his home country after graduation to help build and grow the medical sector?

Musah discusses his own encounters with the coronavirus pandemic. "Even if the department is full, there is occasionally only one individual who is optimistic." Pregnant women found it particularly challenging, and it was mentally draining. Thankfully, the births of pretty young ladies proceeded smoothly. We had to take turns because there was only one paramedic, and you could only go to her, making organization really tough.

"To me, it implies that everyone has the same chance to do whatever they desire. In other countries, it can be a barrier for a stranger who has become the head of a department or worked at a clinic," he said.

Stolen Lamborghini Urus from the USA found in Ghana

In partnership with the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (the FBI) and the US Justice Department, the Ghanaian Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) announced that it has seized a 2019 Lamborghini Urus, a luxury car, from Charles Armah, a Ghanaian musician better known as Shatta Wale.

The operation came after a request from the FBI and the US Justice Department in 2023, and it ended with a lawful search of the musician’s apartment, according to a press statement released yesterday by the agency's acting Executive Director, Raymond Archer, and shared by the Ghanaian media.

Following EOCO's Surveillance and Asset Recovery Unit's search, a 2019 Lamborghini Urus was found and taken into custody. The statement claims that US police have connected the car to the illegal proceeds of a man named Nana Kwabena Amuah, who is presently incarcerated for 86 months for financial crimes committed in the US.

This is the first time that stolen vehicles have been confiscated by Ghana's Economic and Organized Crime Office. An NPP politician, Bernard Antwi Bosiako, was arrested and detained by the EOCO office this year on suspicion of fraud, money laundering, and complicity in the seizure of luxurious, expensive stolen vehicles from Canada.

As you may remember, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) found that "Canada's stolen cars are sold in Ghana" after conducting an investigation into auto theft. The Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) released data showing that auto theft is not declining throughout the nation. In 2023, Canada's insurance claims for replacing stolen vehicles hit a record-breaking $1.5 billion.

Stolen vehicles are being transported across Ghana and dispersed across Africa. "It can already stand inside the container on a ship sailing from the Port of Montreal," according to a recent CBC News story. "Auto thieves don't despise robberies, according to Peel Regional Police Det. Sgt. Mark Haywood in Canada. "They break into people's homes and take away their car keys by force."

The Ghanaian artist Shatta Wale, whether aware of whether the vehicle was stolen or not, congratulated himself on his new Lamborghini Urus on his former Twitter page, now X, last year.

Crime and corruption have existed in Ghana, but things got out of control when the NPP, the opposition party, broke its pledge to combat corruption. Ghanaians now hope that John Mahama's new government will improve the situation.

Explore the top tourist spots in Ghana, Cape Coast Castle and more!

Every year, thousands of people from all over the world, including African-Americans, travel to Ghana to take advantage of the greatest tourism experience the nation has to offer. Are you considering traveling to this friendly nation on Africa's west coast as well? As a writer from Ghana, this article will provide you with enough information and make your visit to that West African hospital joyful and fulfilling.

One of the most easily accessible and secure travel destinations in West Africa is Ghana, which offers a wealth of historical and cultural activities, as well as several outdoor experiences, stunning hotels, dining options, and fascinating sites to see. It takes more than one day to tour Ghana; in addition to Accra, there are other regions to visit.

Learning more about the people's culture, traditions, and legacy can be facilitated by engaging in an enjoyable experience. There are many locations to explore, including the Aburi Gardens, Atimpoku, and Akosombo, where you may learn about plants and how the inhabitants use them for medicinal purposes. Other enjoyable activities that tourists can partake in while exploring include boat cruises, kayaking, swimming, shopping, and sightseeing.

Traveling doesn't always mean unwinding; some trips immerse you in the past. Cape Coast Castle, which stands steadfastly on Ghana's Atlantic coast, is one such location. Every visitor to West Africa should see this scene at least once in their lifetime; it is both tragic and beautiful.

Swedish traders constructed Cape Coast Castle in the 17th century, and the British later strengthened and enlarged it. It developed into one of the most well-known locations for the transatlantic slave trade. Even though slavery was abolished decades ago, the hushed echoes of suffering, fortitude, and survival reverberate through its walls. The remnants of slavery are still visible in Ghana today.

The "door of no return” is the last point of the dungeon where the journey of the transportation of slaves begins. Thousands of enslaved Africans were shipped from Africa to the United States of America. Today, people from all over the world come to visit the place where their ancestors were illegally and forcefully captured and taken to wealthy nations to work as slaves.

It is not a lighthearted experience to see the Cape Coast Castle, as the tour guide leads you through gloomy, oppressive dungeons where hundreds of people were crammed together without hope, light, or fresh air. Additionally, you will see the governor's quarters, the women's dungeon, and the castle museum, which houses documents, relics, and photographs from the time.

Cape Coast Castle, however, is about more than simply grief; it's also about remembering, overcoming, and rediscovering. It serves as a site of spiritual meditation for many tourists, particularly Africans and persons of African origin. It is a sobering and transforming experience to stand on those stones, listen to the waves crashing, and tread the same trails as those who were taken.

The Kakum National Park

Tourists who do not visit "The Kakum National Park," a 360-square-kilometer semi-deciduous rain forest located north of Cape Coast in Ghana's Central Region, will find their trip to the country meaningless or lacking. With its well-known canopy walk that offers an aerial perspective of the rainforest, the park is a good choice for backpackers seeking a distinctive experience.

Although there is a good chance of seeing monkeys and interesting bird species during the stroll through the lush forest, large game is not to be expected. You may enjoy the peace because admission is affordable. There aren't many camping alternatives, and there aren't many inexpensive places to stay; you might have to commute and stay in neighboring towns.

Previously administered by the Forestry Department to harvest timber, the park is today a popular tourist destination. Thanks to the Scientific Research Team that carried out wildlife studies and determined that the location is suitable for tourism, bringing the timber harvesting to an end. Elephants, bongos, duikers, antelopes, and a diverse range of birds are among the stunning species that can be observed.

Nearly four hundred species of butterflies have been discovered by the nation's natural scientists, and two that are unique to the country have been found. Join folks strolling along the Kuntan route in the forest. The park of trees, plants, and traditional medicines is reached by following the trail. The Kuntan tree is one of the trees discovered. The tree's skin is used to heal broken bones. "Uapacca Guiniensis" is its scientific name.

Other materials include "Bediwunia" (incest) for pomade and fumigation, and Kaku, the wood used to build railroad lines. The guides meticulously explain the meaning of each tree as you traverse the two-kilometer guided walk around the park. Please don't worry about where to take a rest when you're worn out and overworked.

There are resting points that have been thoughtfully constructed using some of the forest's wood. One crucial element is that nothing on the trail may be removed, no matter how lovely it may be. The trail walk often lasts two hours because of the explanations given to the tourists by the guides.

The administration block features a wonderful display of the elephant's skull, the bongo's horn, and several butterfly species. Restaurants and the African gift shop, which features local artwork, are open to travelers. The drive to Kakum National Park is not complicated. Immediately behind Jukwa, a tiny rural community, the enormous signboard proclaims, "You are welcome to Kakum National Park."

Ghanaian nationals busted by FBI in massive fraud scheme

The FBI

The FBI agents

Three Ghanaian citizens have been detained for their alleged involvement in a $100 million fraud conspiracy combining romance scams and business email compromise (BEC). Among them are Isaac Kofi Oduro Boateng (also known as Kofi Boat), a man known as Agony, and a close colleague of Shatta Wale, a Ghanaian musician.

The arrests, which took place in Accra on June 13, 2025, as part of a joint Interpol-FBI operation, come after they were charged with wire fraud and money laundering in a 2023 US indictment. There is still a fourth suspect on the loose.

Kofi Boateng is charged with masterminding the cybercrime that operated out of Ghana from 2016 to 2023. The network allegedly utilized fake letters and spoof emails to pose as executives and scam victims, including eight people and one business, out of more than $100 million.

According to the FBI’s investigation, the group allegedly engaged in romance scams, focusing on elderly victims in false relationships, investments, or emergencies. In March 2025, Ghana's Ministry of the Interior issued arrest warrants in response to a request from the US Embassy.

The accused have now been extradited to the United States of America after being remanded by an Accra court on June 16, 2025. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) spearheaded the concerted crackdown, which has revealed a global network of people allegedly scamming victims out of millions of dollars in life savings.

Making bicycles a safe choice of transportation in Ghana

Schoolgirls on bicycles in Ghana

The Oxford Dictionary defines ‘vehicle’ as a conveyance for transporting passengers or goods on land or in space. In this case, besides a car, a lorry, trains, and an airplane, a bicycle is also accepted as a means of transport to use on the road.

That means a cyclist has the right to use the road without any horn hooting or harassment of the rider by other road users. Integrated transport policy is not viable without the implementation of structures allowing the development of cycling.

There are many reasons the bicycle is essential to users. The bicycle enables one to get somewhere very fast when there is a traffic hold-up. It is energizing to use a bicycle, and it eliminates stress.

Among all transport, it is the cheapest, as you don’t need fuel and no license is required. Ecologically, the manufacturing and use of a bicycle, as well as the planning of space for its use, create much less solid waste and no pollution.

In Ghana, bicycles play a major role as a means of transport in the North for farmers who have no other means of getting to their farms and homes. However, at the moment, bicycles are fast emerging as an urban means of transport in Europe.

Transportation is a problem in most big cities. It is therefore not a crime for a cyclist to get to work or wherever he intends to go on a bicycle. However, on the road, some road users think the cyclist has no right at all to be on the street. They torment cyclists with the blaring of horns and even scream at them at times.

It is very frustrating to most drivers when a cyclist is ahead of them or at any inconvenient place along the road, since bicycles can cause traffic on a busy road.

Some cyclists have contributed to road accidents many times, but that doesn’t mean that they have no right to use the road; after all, are motorists also involved in road accidents?

Walking through the city of Accra, there is nowhere one can find a bicycle route on the side of the major roads. For example, the Accra–Kasoa road is a very well-constructed road, but it was constructed without any bicycle lane.

In Europe, a circulation plan aiming to develop cycling was approved in the ’80s. Revised annually, it considers the implementation of a network of cycle lanes and the transformation of parking places into bicycle parking.

This network is built in order to reinforce the safety of cyclists, with stop signposts placed before those for cars and crossroads redesigned for cyclists.

In Ghana, roads are constructed without any consideration for bicycle users. Nothing is planned in the country by taking the future into consideration.

I believe that if the government implements the construction of bicycle routes in its future projects, there will be a free flow of traffic in the cities, and that would also help to reduce the traffic holdups that motorists are currently facing.

It’s a well-known fact that a lack of finance is one of the major setbacks affecting Africa’s infrastructure and projects. But if a specific project would be a solution or an answer to a problem, then the government should take it into consideration.

For example, in Europe, to prevent traffic jams and ensure the safety of cyclists, the Netherlands has been successful with bicycle routes running throughout the towns and cities. A journey of about 50 to 100 km could easily be done by bicycle.

In Trondheim, Norway, a bicycle lift has been put up in the center of the town to facilitate access to another town called Brubakken, and in Belgium, a bicycle tunnel has been built under the sea to link the two cities of Antwerp and Linkeroever.

It takes ten to twelve minutes to go to Linkeroever from the city of Antwerp, while the bus takes about twenty minutes.

As Ghana gradually matures into a great nation, the government must include the construction of bicycle routes in its future road projects. Bicycles play a very significant role, not only as a means of transport but also as a promoter of good health.

Book review: Your action plan for weight loss

Reducing excess weight is not easy, regardless of the method you choose. Going to the gym, running great distances, or switching to a vegetarian diet are some ways that people try to lose weight, but they don't see any real results. Even while diet and exercise alone have helped many people lose weight, it takes perseverance and willpower.

Changing your perspective on what you eat can have a significant impact on your motivation and discipline because many people who have been successful at losing weight eventually start gaining it back. Sena Coffi, the author of "Your Action Plan To Weight Loss," describes his fascinating experience of dropping thirty kilograms in three months.

The author, who was once a victim of an overweight personality, describes his incredible quest to go from 130 kg (287 lbs) to a stronger, healthier version of himself, shedding 30 kg in just three months. He claims that if a cucumber farmer who isn't a fitness instructor can attain such positive outcomes to live a better and healthier life, then anyone can, and that the book contains inspiration and knowledge.

An excerpt from the book encourages anyone who wants to develop a healthy body to get a clear, doable plan, change their diet with easy guidelines (cut sugar, eat more vegetables, eat between 12 and 4 p.m.), commit to four days of exercise (such as an hour on the treadmill), and start the transformation process with a seven-day plan.

Packed with tried-and-true methods and the author's personal success, I will suggest this book to everyone who is struggling to lose weight. Why hold off? Get your copy of "Action Plan to Weight Loss" now to start your amazing life transformation.

A brief account of the author's life

Sena Coffi is a peasant farmer who graduated from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) with a degree in computer science. He has a strong regard for both academic knowledge and the wisdom gained from practical, everyday work, even though his career has taken him from lecture halls to other fields. One example of this is his contribution to Ghanaian politics on his television show, Melodies TV.

The host of Melodies TV and "I'm Sena, Let's Talk Politics" has a strong interest in politics, not from a place of ambition but rather a desire to comprehend and make a significant contribution to the structures that influence the lives of common people. Sena believes that discipline in the body frequently leads to discipline in other areas of life. He is also very passionate about exercise and leading a healthy lifestyle.

In terms of financial aspects, Sena keeps researching and studying the fields of finance and cryptocurrency, particularly as instruments that might economically empower people and communities. In addition, he cherishes his spiritual development and is deeply religious, viewing religion as a compass that guides his choices and goals.

Ghana’s Ex-finance minister Ken Ofori-Atta, a fugitive on the run

Ken Ofori-Atta on the run

Ken Ofori-Atta on the run

"He is not coming back to Ghana: My gut-wrenching feelings about Ken Ofori-Atta" was an article I wrote on May 18, 2025, discussing my worries and making it apparent to Ghanaians that the former finance minister would not be returning to Ghana. Like Bernard Antwi-Bosiako, Gertrude Torkornoo, Jean Mensa, and hundreds of other NPP politicians involved in serious corruption scandals, Ken Ofori-Atta believed that John Mahama would never return to power.

Ken Ofori-Atta was declared wanted by the special prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, after he ignored his invitations to appear for interrogation. A physically fit thief can evade arrest from January to December, but if he is caught, he will either claim that it was his first time stealing or that he has hypertension. Ken Ofori-Atta is a prime example of that. After eight years within the NPP’s government, the physically fit white-shirt-and-Bible-quotations thief suddenly became "seriously" ill five months after a new administration took office.

In addition to showing disrespect for Ghanaians, Ken Ofori-Atta undervalues everyone because he is sure that his money-laundering gang and relative underworld clan are safe in the corrupt legal system that Akufo-Addo established by designating the Supreme Court as the highest court in the land. His attorney came forward with the claim that his client is seeking treatment after the OSP declared him wanted. Then, Ken Ofori-Atta asked the OSP to take off the "wanted tag" that had been put on his head.

The special prosecutor replied and took down the "wanted tag," but in a surprising turn of events, the former finance minister, who is being sought for financial crime and fraud, dared to sue the special prosecutor's office for damaging his reputation. This is how NPP politicians tend to behave. Ultimately, June 2025 was chosen as the date for Ofori-Atta's visit to Ghana; however, as of now, no one has seen Ken Ofori-Atta, indicating that he is not yet prepared to travel to Ghana.

The latest news about Ken Ofori-Atta is that he has been diagnosed with cancer. Whether he has indeed been diagnosed with cancer or not, it is not because of an ailment that one commits serious crimes like those of the former finance minister; he should be set free. Besides these offenses, the National Cathedral procurement scandal, the Strategic mobilization contract, the ECG and Beijing Jao loss reduction contract, and the Ministry of Health’s ambulance deal with Service Ghana Auto Limited, Ken Ofori-Atta deliberately targeted non-NPP entrepreneurs to ruin their businesses.

Ken Ofori-Atta is plagued by his fear of going back to Ghana. Naturally, he should be afraid since he has realized that he can no longer underestimate Mahama’s government after the arrest of prominent NPP politicians, like Kwabena Adu-Boahene and Bernard Antwi-Bosiako. He is aware of the seriousness of his crimes, and he may suffer the same fate if Bernard Antwi-Bosiako and Kwabena Adu-Boahene had been locked up by EOCO and NIB until the sureties were met.

Ofori-Atta’s cruelty caused suffering to others and even led to the premature death of many people, including business owners and pensioners, but he wants to be forgiven because he is ill or has cancer? That is unacceptable. How can the world go free and the innocent Jesus carry the heavy cross? Ken Ofori- Atta is not coming to Ghana today or tomorrow. Interpol receiving the criminal file and the OSP issuing an international alert for a fugitive is the only way to resolve the situation.

If Ken Ofori-Atta is successful in obtaining either genuine or fake medical reports to prevent him from going to Ghana to face the law for his crimes, then my dire prediction is that he will die in exile. The NDC has a chance to rule for years because, aside from their best performance, the people have more freedom to express themselves, something they never had under Akufo-Addo.

OUR STORY IN GHANA IS A TRAGEDY, AS NKRUMAH'S PROPHESY UNFOLDS

Nkrumah's prophesy has taken place

 Nkrumah's prophesy has taken place

“If we don't approach the problems in Africa with a common front and a common purpose, we shall be haggling and wrangling among ourselves until we are colonized again and become tools of a far greater colonialism than we suffered hitherto.” – Kwame Nkrumah

Who in Ghana can beat up his chest by denying that we are not experiencing a similar situation today in the country decades after Kwame Nkrumah made this statement?

I don’t think anyone in Ghana can challenge these words of Nkrumah that everything is fine and the system is smoothly advancing.

Indeed, Ghanaians are suffering, yet we are not under colonialism. There have been several arguments that Africa would have been better in the hands of the colonial masters because, after independence, African leaders have disappointed the common people.

What inspires people to pursue a political career in Ghana or generally in Africa? This is the question that, if I am to interview any Ghanaian politician, will be my first question on the list because it seems the majority of African politicians are inspired into politics to amass wealth.

The hardships the common people experience in Africa daily, despite its vast natural resources, are never experienced in the developed countries. This is enough to acknowledge the fact that, apart from corruption, the lack of good leadership is also affecting the country.

Why so many resources, yet African leaders can't alleviate the people from poverty? Providing good schools, medical facilities, and drinking water and creating employment have been some of the biggest challenges many African countries are facing today.

There is more room in Ghana for improvement, but the rooms are shut because Ghanaians are not one. While it is in the interest of many to unite, there are others aiming to divide the people.

Like all African countries, politics in Ghana involved greediness. The idea that the NDC has ‘chopped’ enough; therefore, it’s the turn of the NPP to ‘chop’ is causing a setback to the rapid development of Ghana.

In Ghana, you’ll see the grim pictures of how many Ghanaians are suffering and struggling. On the streets of Accra, traders carrying heavy items, including tubers of yam, are running after and dangerously maneuvering between moving vehicles.

No education and no future; everyone is struggling to sell something to avoid being a burden on families. Why is it that only the third-world countries often experience such economic hardships?

Our resources are being wasted on wrong projects that are not necessary, and the situation in mineral-rich Africa is very bad, to the extent that some illiterates or superstitious people think the continent is cursed.

What crime has Africa committed to deserve a curse? Even the colonial masters that committed so many crimes in African countries are blessed. They have work, food, good education, and medical facilities, making life worthy to live.

Until African countries have good leaders ready to fight corruption and make good use of the money after the export of their raw materials, the continent will continue to remain poor, affecting everyone, including the children.

The Truth Behind Not Giving Any Support To The Incompetent Ghanaian President, Akufo Addo

Akufo Addo is the worst president in the political history of Ghana

Akufo Addo is the worst president in the political history of Ghana

Tell me your name and I will tell you where you come from. Among Ghanaian presidents, I can tell you those that achieved success through hard work, efficiency, dedication, in the country and the one that only appeared on the political scene for self-recognition and to divide the people.

Akufo Addo thinks of his family and himself only, the reason despite the collapsed banking institutions and the high rate of unemployment in the country, his burning ambition is to build a Cathedral and now the latest embarrassment is "President cuts sod for the construction of Award House."

Since the NPP government doesn't know how to create jobs, improve the health sectors, and the deadly roads killing innocent Ghanaians daily, they only boast of toilets and free education that is in acute crisis.

Apart from corruption, ignorant plays a major role in Ghana’s underdevelopment to the extent that nothing significant has been achieved since Akufo Addo became president, yet when someone criticizes the president, the morons say it is disrespectful. What has disrespect got to do with criticism?

Ghana may already sink or at the point of sinking, meanwhile, the prices of everything has gone up, while the cedi has depreciated, yet, they say we shouldn’t talk but to support a government that is deeply corrupt to bring a whole rich country like Ghana to its knees.

One can be inspired by his father because he was a politician but you can never be a good politician like your father. It doesn't make sense at all if someone forces himself to be a president because of greed or had a relative who was a politician.

The result can be very disastrous, ranging from a fragile economy, hunger, debt, to a high rate of unemployment. This is what we are currently experiencing in Ghana.

Since the NPP government doesn't know how to create jobs, build the necessary projects the country needs, improve the economy, health, and educational sectors, Akufo Addo has failed miserably as a leader.

This is the kind of president the morons in Ghana and outside the country, including the failed Akyem writer, want others to follow.

I am not ready to write any stupid articles to give my support to an incompetent Ghanaian president or politician in the country. I need to inform the failed jealous ‘Akyem’ columnist who can’t stand me because his dark heart can’t accept that I am a better writer than him.

It is not the use of big English words that makes one a good writer. Good writers are easily recognized by the subjects of interest they choose and it’s education to the general public.

As a so-called columnist with over five thousand written articles, ‘Akyem’ columnist should have been a very good writer with his works available on both local and international platforms.

But because in his entire life, he devoted his time by writing articles to promote hate and division in Ghana, he failed as a writer. How do you expect someone whose entire works are based on tribalism and hate, against people such as John Mahama, Kwame Nkrumah, etc, to be a successful writer?

If the Akyem columnist articles make sense, he should have got numerous followers on Twitter. I went to his Twitter account and behold, I saw only 48 followers, yet, this writer (Joel Savage) that the Akyem columnist hates so much has worked hard to gain over 6,000 followers.

Do you think Twitter followers are fools to follow everyone just for nothing or someone like you because you have a Ph.D. to your name?

Business people, journalists, scientists, health officials, engineers, pilots, etc, on the social platform LinkedIn, are neither fools nor stupid too, the reason I have close to 8,000 followers. So before you use stupid names on people, first, you need to think deeply about your own position.

From the time I joined ModernGhana news columnists, you have continued to hate me till now. According to yourself, you were born on April 8, 1963, in Ghana but this writer born in January 1957, older than you by 6 years, is stronger and handsome than you.

Joel Savage at 63 in 2020

Joel Savage at 63 in 2020

The picture I used for this article is Joel Savage at 63, in 2020. By God's Grace, look how energetic and handsome I am at such an age.

Let everyone visit the column of this man on ModernGhana and take a look at how horrible he looks at the age of 57. In fact, he looks like an American junkie or a drug addict.

The so-called Ghanaian writer,, Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe. He claims to be related to the president, Akufo Addo, and therefore, wants me to praise the incompetent government of the NPP. How possible such an old man was born in 1963, (57) years old?

The so-called Ghanaian writer, Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, claims to be related to the president, Akufo Addo, and therefore, wants me to praise the incompetent government of the NPP. How possible such an old man was born in 1963, (57) years old?

Do you think I am stupid like you to follow an incompetent Ghanaian president like Akufo Addo? I am not a fool. In Ghana, no one is better than anyone,

If you sit in America and blow your nepotistic and tribalistic trumpet, supporting a corrupt and inefficient president because you are related, according to you, doesn't mean I will also do the same, therefore, continue screaming and accuse me to be a member of the NDC.

Nobody is better than anyone in Ghana, despite that we have different regions or come from different roots, yet Akufo Addo has shown that if you are not an Akyem, then you are either not a Ghanaian or you are an outcast.

Wisdom and knowledge are special gifts from God, if you are born without them, then cultivate them to improve your life. If you fail to have them during your youth, you will die an old man without them. That’s a big injustice to yourself, you don’t have to blame anybody for that.

If America and Europe stink like the gutters of Makola Market, you people wouldn’t be there to support bad governments in Ghana. Because America has good medical facilities, Ken Ofori Atta went there for medical treatment, yet the uncompleted projects, including hospitals Mahama couldn’t complete, were abandoned by the NPP government. What a waste of resources?

Ghana is for Ghanaians, not for a tribe, we need to find a better leader to move the country forward; therefore, I am not ready to give support to any incompetent Ghanaian leader, hell, no.

I will weep daily if I am related to Akufo Addo because his presence in Ghana as a president is very embarrassing and his leadership hasn't only crippled the country by corruption, incurred debt but also made Ghana, this great nation a laughing stock in the eyes of the developed world.

THE CATALYST TO THE FAILURE OF THE GOVERNMENT OF AKUFO ADDO IN GHANA

Nana Akufo Addo, the Ghanaian president

 Nana Akufo-Addo, the Ghanaian president

Last year, on October 9, 2020, I sent an email to one of the editors of ModernGhana news, called Bright Adamson, which reads, “Good morning, Sir. I can see that at the moment in Ghana, the political situation in the country is very dangerous because of the forthcoming elections.”

"Even after writing a positive article about the handling of the coronavirus by Akufo-Addo, I still generated unfriendly comments. I don’t want to be part of it with articles that can cause political instability between the NDC and NPP. I will, therefore, lay down my pen for a while until the election is over."

“Great decision,” was the answer from the editor. Why am I writing this, Mr. Okoampa-Ahoofe? When actively contributing regularly to the ‘ModernGhana News’ as a columnist, I can say that I am one of the writers who was more frequently attacked daily with insults under different names than any of the other writers.

The fact that John Mahama has already been declared corrupt by Ghanaians and is no longer the president, I focused my articles on Akufo-Addo, who said he is against corruption, yet many people refused to understand me or accept the message and constantly accused me of being a member of the NPP.

They said I hate Akufo-Addo, the reason I came out with harsh publications against him, but this is the same treatment or discipline we had from our parents, who want to bring their children up to be good people in society. Our parents never spared the rod to bring us up as bad children because they enjoy hearing their son or daughter is a good boy or girl.

I don’t hate anyone in Ghana, and I am not affiliated with any political party, but being a Ghanaian, I want my country to be good for me to have a better stay, like all the common Ghanaians, anytime, when I am on a pension.

Mr. Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, if you are truly sincere and can turn back time, go back and compile all the articles I wrote about Akufo-Addo, and you will see that everything that I said has come to pass. I am not a prophet, but whatever I said about Akufo-Addo and what would happen in Ghana after being declared a winner has taken place.

Why? Because I didn’t spare the rod to spoil the child, while you refused to address the serious problems the Akufo-Addo government is facing because you are related to him. I can beat my chest with confidence today that Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe is responsible for the downfall of Akudo Addo’s government and the chaotic political situation in the country.

I have lived in Belgium for over two decades. Seeking political information from institutions is as easy as ABC if you have the right credentials, yet I refused to publish anything about the corruption and money laundering scandal that hit the Ghana Embassy in Belgium, leading to the closure of the embassy’s accounts at the ING bank, firstly, because it was close to elections, and secondly, because I want to avoid people attacking me for hating Akufo Addo.

One of my articles on Modern Ghana News was directed to the Minister of Information, Hon. Kojo Vincent Oppong Nkrumah, pleading to ask Nana Akufo-Addo to take over the uncompleted projects, including hospitals, left by the NDC government. Surprisingly, I was attacked by some Ghanaians over that article.

Wouldn’t it have been a great achievement, with much support and respect to Nana Akufo-Addo, to have taken over the projects, as the hospitals would have served a meaningful purpose in this dangerous period of COVID-19 in the country?

Mr. Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe has written over 5,000 articles. If it matters to any Ghanaian, find out from his articles the one where he spoke against the corruption scandals that tainted the image of the current Ghanaian leader, who promised to fight against corruption, after Ghanaians declared Mahama and the NDC corrupt.

I blame him for the current political situation in Ghana and the problems Akufo-Addo is facing because if he were truly interested in the suffering of the common Ghanaians and cared about Akufo-Addo, he wouldn’t have spared the rod to let Akufo-Addo face such an ugly political scene in the country.

I submitted this article to Modern Ghana News, but the editor refused to publish it because he doesn't want Ghanaians to know that whatever I published about Akufo-Addo has happened.

However, that's not what bothers me because I have thousands of readers, too. Akufo-Addo was voted out; therefore, I wish him good luck as a president.

How Bill Gates Wants To Use Money As Bait To Influence The Ghanaian Government

According to ModernGhana news, Bill Gates held a zoom interaction with Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia

According to ModernGhana news, Bill Gates held a Zoom interaction with Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.

On September 16, 2020, a publication entitled "Bill Gates Speaks With Bawumia" appeared on the website of ModernGhana News. According to the article, the American Businessman and Co-founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates, has held a Zoom interaction with the Ghanaian Vice President, Mahamudu Bawumia, on three key pertinent issues affecting Ghana.

The article sheds more light on their communication, saying Mr. Gates lauded Ghana for showing exemplary leadership and making strides on several fronts.

And also discussed Ghana’s progress on immunization against the new circulating vaccine-derived poliovirus type 2 (cVDPV2), the lessons from Ghana’s policy response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and Ghana’s digitization strategy.

Bill Gates is in trouble, having a nightmare where to create a market in Africa, to sell his dangerous vaccines through the World Health Organization, after the French doctor, Didier Raoult, and the Nation of Islam leader, Louis Farrakhan, called on African leaders not to take or accept Bill Gates' vaccines.

Desperate Bill Gates, whose medical crimes around the globe in third-world countries are no longer a secret and suspect of the COVID-19 pandemic, wants an easy market in Africa to sell his unsecured Coronavirus vaccines since he has invested millions into vaccines, yet doesn’t know where to sell them.

Therefore, I wasn't surprised to read on ModernGhana news that he has spoken with the Vice-President of Ghana, Mahamudu Bawumia. After reading the article, I commented:

Joel Savage | 9/16/2020 12:01:41 PM

"When did Bill Gates become interested in Ghanaian politics? A desperate man known for his medical crimes in third-world countries now wants an easy market for his contaminated vaccines that reduce childbirth and give birth to other diseases."

"Definitely, Ghana can be of help. Because of the laziness of African leaders, everything that glitters is gold to them. Let Bill Gates' money be a bait to any African leaders to allow this wolf in sheep's clothing; many countries worldwide wouldn't like to see his face come to Ghana."

"Of course, Bill Gates can only speak with Bawumia, not scientist Johan van Dongen, Vladimir Putin, or Kim Jong Un."

It was later, I saw also the comment of the former Professor at the Maastricht University, the Dutch scientist and microsurgeon, Johan van Dongen."

Johan van Dongen | 9/16/2020 3:58:25 PM

In 2016, President Putin banned Gates and his company, Microsoft, from Russia, citing security and privacy fears. Though dismissed as “paranoid” and “weird” by Western media at the time, WikiLeaks' revelations in 2017 regarding collusion between the CIA, Microsoft, and Silicon Valley tech companies have proved that Putin was one step ahead of the game. And now it looks like Gates is teaming up with Bawumia."

"In 2015, Bill Gates teamed up with Hollywood star Ben Affleck to request more money and freedom for the Gates Foundation to perform experiments in the Congo and other developing nations."

"Since then, Gates has continued rolling out his biological and vaccination experiments around the developing world. But the world is slowly waking up to Gates's sinister agenda."

Moreover, India has shut down the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation's operations and kicked its management out of the country after grave concerns were raised about the foundation's no-consent vaccination experiments on village girls.

Devastating health effects affecting 30,000 village girls led the Indian government to sue Bill Gates, a case that is still ongoing. But it was far from the first time Gates was exposed.

Of course, I would like to speak with Bawumia myself, but then I have no money to bribe anyone. How the hell is it possible that someone who is interested in vaccines and discusses experiments with politicians, while he did no more or less than develop a computer... So it must be the money... And for that, Bawumia will polish anybody's boots."

The publication about Bill Gates interacting with Bawumia coincided with an article I had already submitted to ModernGhana news for publication. It was about the Nation of Islam leader, Louis Farrakhan, like the French doctor, Didier Raoult, also warning African leaders not to accept Bill Gates' vaccines.

That particular article wasn't published; therefore, I contacted the editor of ModernGhana news, trying to find out why he had failed to publish the article about Bill Gates I submitted. Surprisingly, this was the answer he gave me.

"Many contents of you and your friends (referring to Prof. Johan van Dongen and Dr. Wolff Geisler) are being constantly marked as Dangerous and Derogatory, and I can't tolerate that anymore on my platform."

"I am sorry, there are too many conspiracies, and that's very dangerous. My platform has been penalized far too long for these kinds of content, and it's unacceptable."

I quickly understood the explanation of editor because I have been through a similar experience and am still going through it. Because of the truth, I have been kicked from many social media platforms with false accusations of violating their rules and search engines, including Google, which once directed about 103 URLs of my articles to 404 errors.

It matters a lot to the US government, the World Health Organization, search engine companies, and the foreign media to cover up crimes against Africa; therefore, they will let you become a subject to all kinds of cruelties for them to suppress information.

But the situation becomes more dangerous and puts Africa at more risk if some corrupt African leaders and the African media collaborate with or yield to their pressures of these white-collar criminals, who don't care about the suffering of Africans, than the resources on the continent.

The disturbing part of this article is that the ModernGhana news editor not only failed to publish the article I submitted about Bill Gates but also deleted and removed the already published articles about this murderer and a crook that has tagged himself, philanthropist from my column.
There are more questions than answers, and now more questions are piling up in my brain.

1. Who asked the ModernGhana editor to delete the already published articles exposing Bill Gates' clandestine medical crimes from his website?

2. Does Bill Gates feel insecure about the articles and, therefore, want them deleted so that he can bring his contaminated vaccines to Ghana or Africa?

3. Did the Vice-President, Bawumia, ask the editor to remove those articles from the web because he wants some money from Bill Gates for the forthcoming elections in Ghana?

These are certain unprofessional acts that reveal how corrupt individuals and the media can be. I don’t know the significance behind this, but I can assure Bill Gates that the removal of the articles about his crimes in the third world countries doesn't change his situation to be recognized as a 'messiah,' he will always remain and be known as a criminal and a global depopulator.

Sometimes, it's necessary to ask if it's worth sacrificing your life for an African. Here is a scientist who lost his job as a lecturer at the University of Maastricht, after writing books to expose medical crimes by foreign governments in Africa, which today, are being blamed by monkeys and bats, yet an African news editor is calling his publications dangerous and derogatory.

How do we expect Africa to be a successful continent if our own leaders and the media collaborate with criminals in sheep's clothing? The continent of Africa has everything, including rich resources that America and Europe don't have, yet the continent is not progressing.

This is because the media and African leaders have failed to realize that their laziness, greed, corruption, and collaboration with foreign governments are doing more harm to the African continent than good.

Why has one particular continent and its people had to suffer slavery, colonial aggression, apartheid, and medical crimes with impunity, yet African leaders haven't learned any significant lessons from them to reduce poverty on the continent and improve the lives of the common people?

Common Africans, you need to stand up for yourselves because your leaders don't care about you. They only care about corruption and their family; therefore, don't allow Bill Gates to send his contaminated vaccines to the continent to kill you.

If Bill Gates loves black people, he must help the African-Americans, because many of them are living in horrible conditions, which is why the coronavirus has killed thousands of them in America than any other race.

African leaders can take money from Bill Gates, but the common Africans will not allow themselves to be used as guinea pigs in testing any devilish drugs and vaccines from Bill Gates.

According to the leader of the Nation of Islam, "Dr. Fauci, Bill Gates, and Melinda, they want to depopulate the world. Can the so-called philanthropist give him an answer:

Who gave them that right? Who are you to sit down with your billions and talk about who can live and who should die?"
