The Truth Behind Not Giving Any Support To The Incompetent Ghanaian President, Akufo Addo

Akufo Addo is the worst president in the political history of Ghana

Akufo Addo is the worst president in the political history of Ghana

Tell me your name and I will tell you where you come from. Among Ghanaian presidents, I can tell you those that achieved success through hard work, efficiency, dedication, in the country and the one that only appeared on the political scene for self-recognition and to divide the people.

Akufo Addo thinks of his family and himself only, the reason despite the collapsed banking institutions and the high rate of unemployment in the country, his burning ambition is to build a Cathedral and now the latest embarrassment is "President cuts sod for the construction of Award House."

Since the NPP government doesn't know how to create jobs, improve the health sectors, and the deadly roads killing innocent Ghanaians daily, they only boast of toilets and free education that is in acute crisis.

Apart from corruption, ignorant plays a major role in Ghana’s underdevelopment to the extent that nothing significant has been achieved since Akufo Addo became president, yet when someone criticizes the president, the morons say it is disrespectful. What has disrespect got to do with criticism?

Ghana may already sink or at the point of sinking, meanwhile, the prices of everything has gone up, while the cedi has depreciated, yet, they say we shouldn’t talk but to support a government that is deeply corrupt to bring a whole rich country like Ghana to its knees.

One can be inspired by his father because he was a politician but you can never be a good politician like your father. It doesn't make sense at all if someone forces himself to be a president because of greed or had a relative who was a politician.

The result can be very disastrous, ranging from a fragile economy, hunger, debt, to a high rate of unemployment. This is what we are currently experiencing in Ghana.

Since the NPP government doesn't know how to create jobs, build the necessary projects the country needs, improve the economy, health, and educational sectors, Akufo Addo has failed miserably as a leader.

This is the kind of president the morons in Ghana and outside the country, including the failed Akyem writer, want others to follow.

I am not ready to write any stupid articles to give my support to an incompetent Ghanaian president or politician in the country. I need to inform the failed jealous ‘Akyem’ columnist who can’t stand me because his dark heart can’t accept that I am a better writer than him.

It is not the use of big English words that makes one a good writer. Good writers are easily recognized by the subjects of interest they choose and it’s education to the general public.

As a so-called columnist with over five thousand written articles, ‘Akyem’ columnist should have been a very good writer with his works available on both local and international platforms.

But because in his entire life, he devoted his time by writing articles to promote hate and division in Ghana, he failed as a writer. How do you expect someone whose entire works are based on tribalism and hate, against people such as John Mahama, Kwame Nkrumah, etc, to be a successful writer?

If the Akyem columnist articles make sense, he should have got numerous followers on Twitter. I went to his Twitter account and behold, I saw only 48 followers, yet, this writer (Joel Savage) that the Akyem columnist hates so much has worked hard to gain over 6,000 followers.

Do you think Twitter followers are fools to follow everyone just for nothing or someone like you because you have a Ph.D. to your name?

Business people, journalists, scientists, health officials, engineers, pilots, etc, on the social platform LinkedIn, are neither fools nor stupid too, the reason I have close to 8,000 followers. So before you use stupid names on people, first, you need to think deeply about your own position.

From the time I joined ModernGhana news columnists, you have continued to hate me till now. According to yourself, you were born on April 8, 1963, in Ghana but this writer born in January 1957, older than you by 6 years, is stronger and handsome than you.

Joel Savage at 63 in 2020

Joel Savage at 63 in 2020

The picture I used for this article is Joel Savage at 63, in 2020. By God's Grace, look how energetic and handsome I am at such an age.

Let everyone visit the column of this man on ModernGhana and take a look at how horrible he looks at the age of 57. In fact, he looks like an American junkie or a drug addict.

The so-called Ghanaian writer,, Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe. He claims to be related to the president, Akufo Addo, and therefore, wants me to praise the incompetent government of the NPP. How possible such an old man was born in 1963, (57) years old?

The so-called Ghanaian writer, Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, claims to be related to the president, Akufo Addo, and therefore, wants me to praise the incompetent government of the NPP. How possible such an old man was born in 1963, (57) years old?

Do you think I am stupid like you to follow an incompetent Ghanaian president like Akufo Addo? I am not a fool. In Ghana, no one is better than anyone,

If you sit in America and blow your nepotistic and tribalistic trumpet, supporting a corrupt and inefficient president because you are related, according to you, doesn't mean I will also do the same, therefore, continue screaming and accuse me to be a member of the NDC.

Nobody is better than anyone in Ghana, despite that we have different regions or come from different roots, yet Akufo Addo has shown that if you are not an Akyem, then you are either not a Ghanaian or you are an outcast.

Wisdom and knowledge are special gifts from God, if you are born without them, then cultivate them to improve your life. If you fail to have them during your youth, you will die an old man without them. That’s a big injustice to yourself, you don’t have to blame anybody for that.

If America and Europe stink like the gutters of Makola Market, you people wouldn’t be there to support bad governments in Ghana. Because America has good medical facilities, Ken Ofori Atta went there for medical treatment, yet the uncompleted projects, including hospitals Mahama couldn’t complete, were abandoned by the NPP government. What a waste of resources?

Ghana is for Ghanaians, not for a tribe, we need to find a better leader to move the country forward; therefore, I am not ready to give support to any incompetent Ghanaian leader, hell, no.

I will weep daily if I am related to Akufo Addo because his presence in Ghana as a president is very embarrassing and his leadership hasn't only crippled the country by corruption, incurred debt but also made Ghana, this great nation a laughing stock in the eyes of the developed world.

‘Dumsor’ – The intermitted Power Supply, Whatever Goes Around the NDC, Comes Around The NPP

The intermittent power supply in Ghana affects many students

The intermittent power supply in Ghana affects many students

The intermittent power supply, popularly known as ‘dumsor’ in Ghana, didn’t only hit Mahama’s administration but also was a catalyst for the fall of the NDC government in 2016.

The fluctuation of electricity in Ghana during Mahama’s administration was a bitter experience that sparked anger, political unrest, and demonstrations against the NDC government.

It was a perfect time and an opportunity for the NPP political party to use it against the NDC, with an assurance that everything will be perfect and nothing like that sort would ever happen in Ghana again.

Who doesn’t like the continuous flow of electric current? Nobody is prepared to pass through such a bitter experience again after the collapse of many businesses and the loss of jobs; therefore, the NDC lost the elections to the NPP.

However, the elders used to say that people mustn’t be happy over someone’s misfortune because they don’t know what they might face tomorrow.

But in politics, the story is different; the opposition always looks for something to use against other political parties. Therefore, the NPP got the best of the ‘dumsor’ inconveniences to use against the NDC.

The electricity crisis leads to protests in Accra. Some celebrities in the movie industry were among the demonstrators, pouring insults on the former president, John Mahama, and requesting him to step down for a better government to take over the crisis.

During the demonstration, a Ghanaian film actress by the name of Yvonne Nelson, on her Twitter page, led the protest against ‘Dumsor,’ with the hashtag #DumsorMustStop, but in the current crisis under the Nana Akufo-Addo government, the film actress is nowhere to be found.

What goes around comes around; the ‘dumsor’ problems the NPP used against the NDC have come back to haunt them.

The question many Ghanaians are asking is, where are the demonstrators that poured insults on John Mahama to do the same to Nana Akufo-Addo?

Ghana indeed is a miserable country that will not only be ruined by the impact of corruption but also tribalism and nepotism.

THE CATALYST TO THE FAILURE OF THE GOVERNMENT OF AKUFO ADDO IN GHANA

Nana Akufo Addo, the Ghanaian president

 Nana Akufo-Addo, the Ghanaian president

Last year, on October 9, 2020, I sent an email to one of the editors of ModernGhana news, called Bright Adamson, which reads, “Good morning, Sir. I can see that at the moment in Ghana, the political situation in the country is very dangerous because of the forthcoming elections.”

"Even after writing a positive article about the handling of the coronavirus by Akufo-Addo, I still generated unfriendly comments. I don’t want to be part of it with articles that can cause political instability between the NDC and NPP. I will, therefore, lay down my pen for a while until the election is over."

“Great decision,” was the answer from the editor. Why am I writing this, Mr. Okoampa-Ahoofe? When actively contributing regularly to the ‘ModernGhana News’ as a columnist, I can say that I am one of the writers who was more frequently attacked daily with insults under different names than any of the other writers.

The fact that John Mahama has already been declared corrupt by Ghanaians and is no longer the president, I focused my articles on Akufo-Addo, who said he is against corruption, yet many people refused to understand me or accept the message and constantly accused me of being a member of the NPP.

They said I hate Akufo-Addo, the reason I came out with harsh publications against him, but this is the same treatment or discipline we had from our parents, who want to bring their children up to be good people in society. Our parents never spared the rod to bring us up as bad children because they enjoy hearing their son or daughter is a good boy or girl.

I don’t hate anyone in Ghana, and I am not affiliated with any political party, but being a Ghanaian, I want my country to be good for me to have a better stay, like all the common Ghanaians, anytime, when I am on a pension.

Mr. Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, if you are truly sincere and can turn back time, go back and compile all the articles I wrote about Akufo-Addo, and you will see that everything that I said has come to pass. I am not a prophet, but whatever I said about Akufo-Addo and what would happen in Ghana after being declared a winner has taken place.

Why? Because I didn’t spare the rod to spoil the child, while you refused to address the serious problems the Akufo-Addo government is facing because you are related to him. I can beat my chest with confidence today that Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe is responsible for the downfall of Akudo Addo’s government and the chaotic political situation in the country.

I have lived in Belgium for over two decades. Seeking political information from institutions is as easy as ABC if you have the right credentials, yet I refused to publish anything about the corruption and money laundering scandal that hit the Ghana Embassy in Belgium, leading to the closure of the embassy’s accounts at the ING bank, firstly, because it was close to elections, and secondly, because I want to avoid people attacking me for hating Akufo Addo.

One of my articles on Modern Ghana News was directed to the Minister of Information, Hon. Kojo Vincent Oppong Nkrumah, pleading to ask Nana Akufo-Addo to take over the uncompleted projects, including hospitals, left by the NDC government. Surprisingly, I was attacked by some Ghanaians over that article.

Wouldn’t it have been a great achievement, with much support and respect to Nana Akufo-Addo, to have taken over the projects, as the hospitals would have served a meaningful purpose in this dangerous period of COVID-19 in the country?

Mr. Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe has written over 5,000 articles. If it matters to any Ghanaian, find out from his articles the one where he spoke against the corruption scandals that tainted the image of the current Ghanaian leader, who promised to fight against corruption, after Ghanaians declared Mahama and the NDC corrupt.

I blame him for the current political situation in Ghana and the problems Akufo-Addo is facing because if he were truly interested in the suffering of the common Ghanaians and cared about Akufo-Addo, he wouldn’t have spared the rod to let Akufo-Addo face such an ugly political scene in the country.

I submitted this article to Modern Ghana News, but the editor refused to publish it because he doesn't want Ghanaians to know that whatever I published about Akufo-Addo has happened.

However, that's not what bothers me because I have thousands of readers, too. Akufo-Addo was voted out; therefore, I wish him good luck as a president.

THE US GOVERNMENT SUPPORTS CORRUPT DICTATORSHIP REGIMES IN AFRICA

Museveni and Akufo Addo

Museveni and Akufo-Addo

It's a piece of interesting news to read: "Ugandans Ask Nana Addo To Replace Dictator Museveni." The following news caught my attention this morning on the ModernGhana news site. The plea was made by one Hillary Taylor, a Ugandan student, pursuing a master's in International Relations at Harvard University Kennedy School.

It's a great honor for Nana Akufo-Addo for Hillary Taylor to make such a request, but Miss Taylor doesn't know that such a task alone is tougher than the affairs in Ghana in the hands of Nana Akufo-Addo.

Despite slavery, colonial brutality, Apartheid, and medical crises, including Aids and Ebola, it is obvious that about sixty-five percent of Ghanaians don't have much knowledge about the role external forces have played and are still playing to retard the growth of Africa.

Average Ghanaians, from morning till evening, argue and fight over two political parties, NDC and NPP, without a slight knowledge that our leaders alone aren't responsible for our political woes, economic burden, and unrest in the country.

I want to make it clear to Hillary Taylor and fellow Ghanaians that the US government preaches against dictatorship, forcing every African government to follow the 'Almighty Democracy,' yet the US government supports dictatorial governments in Africa.

Why has the US government tolerated the Ugandan leader for all these years but gone wild and hostile against Robert Mugabe, the ex-Zimbabwean leader? Mugabe refused to associate himself with the British and the US governments after he discovered that the entire Zimbabwe had been deliberately infected with Aids before independence.

That bitterness and hate embedded in Mugabe against the West and the US governments forced Britain and America to stand behind Emmerson Mnangagwa to unseat Mugabe, but Museveni remains untouched and undisturbed. Why?

Even though Uganda experienced the same deliberate spread of Aids infection and a host of cancerous diseases such as Kaposi's sarcoma, nodding disease, and Burkitt's lymphoma, Museveni continues to maintain a friendly relationship with the British and the US governments.

In fact, the entire Ugandan citizens were used for various experiments under the supervision of the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control. We (Joel Savage, Johan Van Dongen, and Dr. Wolff Geisler) have published some of these articles on ModernGhana and our health blog under the radar.

Museveni has never criticized or held the British and American governments responsible for such horrendous crimes. Africans, Ghanaians, you must, therefore, understand the reason the US government keeps preaching about democracy, but still supports a dictatorial government in Uganda.

It can be recalled that when all African leaders were angry with Donald Trump for calling the continent 'Shithole,' nations, it was only Museveni who praised Trump for his distasteful comments. BBC reference: Uganda's Museveni: I love Trump for being frank with Africans

I am just a common journalist, never had the opportunity even to step at the front door of any university, yet Europe, Scientist Johan Van Dongen, and Dr. Wolff Geisler, have educated me about foreign affairs, in such a way that I have ample knowledge about clandestine crimes the British and the US governments commit in Africa, yet Hillary Taylor, studying at Havard University has no idea, else she wouldn't have made that request.

Even though on many occasions I have criticized and hit against past and present African leaders, including Nana Akufo Addo, John Jerry Rawlings, John Mahama, etc, I will still plead for Ghanaians or Africans to have a little patience for any African leader.

There is no African leader who is stupid. All of them are aware of the roles foreign governments play in destabilizing Africa's economy, and also about the deliberate hitting the continent with Aids and Ebola, but they still like to remain silent, hoping for a change because they want to remain friends with them.

Because of the same cordial relationship, African leaders want to maintain with the US government, which has enabled them to accept funds from America to finance Aids and Ebola projects in Africa, instead of rejecting them.

However, Africans need to ask ourselves: what comes next after slavery, colonial brutality, Apartheid, Aids, and Ebola?

I will never forget what the former Sierra Leone ambassador to Belgium, Hon Ibrahim Sorie, told me when I visited him with the Belgian branch of the APC party members at his residence in Brussels.

When I told him about the Ebola research by scientist Johan Van Dongen and Dr. Wolff Geisler, pointing fingers at the US government as the perpetrator, he said, "Instead of witch-hunting, we prefer peace."

But how long will Africans sit and watch to be slaughtered like cows and pigs by a senseless government that preaches virtue and practices vice?

Those who like to bully people continue bullying because they enjoy seeing their victims crying for mercy. All comes to an end the day the victim who thinks enough is enough strikes back.

Mahama Promised To Fight Corruption, Yet Was In Numerous Corruptible Scandals

The former Ghanaian leader, John Mahama

The former Ghanaian leader, John Mahama

It seems one of the easiest promises often pledged by politicians to the suffering masses is to tackle and uproot corruption; however, when in power, they rather engage in corruption.

Reacting to criticism of being corrupt, Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama announced that he would step up against corruption and high salaries. In addition, he also said his ministers will take a 10 percent salary cut.

The announcement of the imminent pay cuts for politicians was made by Finance Minister Seth Terkper during his presentation of the 2014 budget.

According to Mr. Terkper, money deducted from the salaries would be paid into a special fund for community health and planning services, with the focus on maternal health, yet Mahama was involved in serious corruption scandals. The latest is the Airbus corruption scandal.

Despite the hate, insults, and degrading comments from the opposition and a section of the Ghanaian population against the former Ghanaian leader, John Mahama, he was nominated candidate of the main opposition party for the presidential election of 2020 during the primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

John Mahama defeated six other candidates for the candidacy by 95% of the votes, representing the candidate of the main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress, for the presidential election of 2020.

The ex-Ghanaian leader, who lost the presidential elections to his rival, Nana Akufo-Addo’s NPP, now continues to attack and accuse the current Ghanaian leader of corruption, something that he was accused of during his rule.

According to the NPP government, the NPP is responsible for Ghana's poor economic situation; however, things haven’t moved easily for the suffering masses, as the country has witnessed a high rate of unemployment and the collapse of businesses, including banking institutions.

The opposition notably accused John Mahama of having received a vehicle from an entrepreneur in Burkina Faso in exchange for the award of contracts for the construction of a road and a wall around the embassy of Ghana to Ouagadougou.

However, despite all the corruption scandals that were associated with the former Ghanaian leader, the confident John Mahama recently said:

“The NDC is strong.  The NDC is united.  The NDC is ready for victory in 2020, and nothing, absolutely nothing, can stop our march towards Flagstaff House (seat of government)," said the former head of state after his victory.

He, therefore, called on the activists to join, promising to work closely with party leaders to return to power.

WHY AKUFO ADDO IMITATES HOUPHET BOIGNY WHEN GHANA IS IN DIRE STRAITS?

Nana Akufo Addo imitates Félix Houphouët-Boigny

Nana Akufo-Addo imitates Félix Houphouët-Boigny.

Successive Ghanaian governments are often criticized, accompanied by insults, and the criticism has been particularly acute in relation to poor performance and rampant corruption. If the media is not behind you, definitely, you’ll lose favor. This is exactly what happened to the former Ghanaian leader, John Mahama, who lost his second-term presidential race to the NPP.

It is obvious that Nana Akufo-Addo doesn’t want to experience a similar fate and, therefore, would like to impress Ghanaians, starting with developmental projects. However, it is worth asking Nana Akufo-Addo about the significance of constructing a 5000-seat national cathedral in Accra when hospitals have no beds and thousands of Ghanaians are unemployed.

Is it true of what the white man says? According to white people, Africans are lazy and, therefore, always expect miracles from heaven. We can’t ignore such degrading utterances because we have proved them to be true. Because it doesn’t really make sense for a government to just announce that they want to build a 5000-seater cathedral when the cost can be used to create employment.

Just imagine Ghana's poor sanitation, open sewage, and stinky gutters. Akufo-Addo has ignored all of these problems generating malaria in the country, and is planning to build a cathedral? May God give African leaders some wisdom to rule the suffering masses without building a cathedral.

Nana now dreams big and wants to impress Ghanaians by imitating the late Ivorian president Félix Houphouët-Boigny. Houphouet-Boigny was ruling an impoverished country in dire financial straits, and then, like Nana Akufo-Addo, one day he decided that it would be a good idea to build a second Vatican dome in his poverty-stricken hometown of Yamoussoukro.

In the midst of a high rate of unemployment, illiteracy, and excessive corruption, similar to the present situation in Ghana, an almost replica of St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City, completed in 1989, measuring 30,000 square meters, was constructed and named ‘Basilique Notre-Dame de la Paix de Yamoussoukro.’ The whole project cost the government 300 million dollars.

After the 30 acres of marble were delivered by an Italian firm and the glass was also brought in from France, Houphouet-Boigny was asked how he was going to finance the church since his government was in financial straits. He replied, “A deal with God has been done, and all the 7000 seats are also individually air-conditioned.”

Three years after the Vatican replica was completed, Houphouet-Boigny dedicated it to the Pope, who consecrated the church in 1990. Did Houphouet-Boigny ever regret such a religious investment in a country where more than two-thirds of its people aren’t even Christian? Why are African leaders wasting our resources in search of self-recognition?

Frankly speaking, regarding the current economic turmoil in Ghana, such a cathedral isn’t necessary at all. It would not serve any purpose, just like how Houphouet-Boigny’s African Vatican didn’t serve any purpose. Who is Nana Akufo-Addo undertaking this project for, Ghanaians or himself?

If he is building it for Ghanaians, then I will remind him that Ghanaians need jobs and the sick need hospital beds; however, if the building is to immortalize himself and his presidency, then that philosophy will lose its significance and be short-lived.

HOW SAFE IS TO RIDE A BICYCLE IN AFRICA?

Safe bicycle riding in Europe under traffic light rules

Safe bicycle riding in Europe under traffic light rules

In Africa, vehicle drivers don’t get along with cyclists. Many are always angry with cyclists because they think cyclists are impediments on the path of motorists, yet they don’t know that cyclists have the same rights as motorists.

The Highway Code is an official book that gives the rules to motorists and people on how to use the road safely, and the advanced dictionary defines a vehicle, which motorists use as a conveyance moving on wheels, runners, or tracks, such as an automobile or tractor.

In regard to this definition, since a bicycle has wheels, it is qualified as a vehicle to use the road like every motorist without any horn or verbal harassment.

In reality, if there is any anger, motorists have to direct that to the Ghana Highway Authority because they have failed to consider cyclists whenever constructing Ghanaian roads.

The Ghana Highway Authority has a duty to maintain to ensure the safety of road users, including pedestrians and cyclists. The adequate provision by the authority is to ensure that cyclists are safe on Ghanaian roads. However, this is not the case.

Ghanaian roads are life-threatening to cyclists because they aren’t constructed with the safety of cyclists in mind. The setback in Africa is so severe that it has also affected the roads.

Ghanaian roads are of a poor standard, with countless potholes and no light poles, making it extremely dangerous to drive at night when travelling long distances.

Because cyclists are safe on European roads, many like to park their cars at home and use bicycles to work. Riding a bicycle helps in many ways, is punctual, saves money, and promotes good health.

The reason apart from cyclists sharing roads with motorists, they also have special roads and traffic lights to ensure their safety. In Antwerp, there is a bicycle tunnel, built under the sea, connecting the city of Antwerp and Linkeroever.

Before the tunnel is a lift that takes the cyclist below to the entrance of the tunnel to ride through. It’s the most beautiful experience as cycling through the tunnel to linkeroever within a few minutes, whereas it may take you about twenty-five minutes to go by bus.

Every road in Europe is specially designed to give comfort to cyclists, but why not in Ghana, when so many people are finding it difficult to join the public transport to work because of high fares?

Apart from our great leader, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, any Ghanaian leader who will not take up the challenge to do something significant and different to develop the country will always be considered as a child learning how to play football.

There are too many insults in Ghanaian newspapers; therefore, which Ghanaian leader is ready to change these insults to praises? Both NDC and NPP want to rule Ghana, but which of the parties has considered embarking on an underground drainage system to improve the tourism industry?

Special safe bicycle routes for users in Europe

Special safe bicycle routes for users in Europe

All of them want to rule Ghana to get rich. Their power struggle is not for the poor suffering masses. After the death of Kwame Nkrumah, the money Ghana's leaders have stolen could have given the country a certain facelift to look somewhat like one of the poor Eastern European countries.

As dangerous as it is to ride a bicycle in Ghana, many cyclists don't wear helmets, yet there are traffic police officers in the country.

The Ghana Highway Authority must consider cyclists in its future street projects after reading this article.

STOP THE ANTAGONISM POLITICS IN GHANA

Nana Akufo Addo and the former Ghanaian leader, John Mahama: Antagonism politics should be discouraged in Ghana

Nana Akufo-Addo and the former Ghanaian leader, John Mahama: Antagonistic politics should be discouraged in Ghana

No matter how effective a leader is, certain factors can hamper their efforts, leading to hostility, slow development, anger, and frustration in a country.

Apart from corruption, two issues that have drastically taken their toll on Ghanaian politics are armed robbery and political antagonism.

The present political situation in Ghana, in regards to the impact of corruption, the imposition of higher tariffs on imported goods, and the exorbitant prices of both foreign and locally manufactured products, is enough to reveal that Ghana is struggling to maintain a flexible economy.

Instead of all the political parties coming together to find common solutions, suggest ways to create employment and develop the country, the New Patriotic Party is under constant attack from opposition parties, especially the NDC, while the NDC also experiences the same.
Such an antagonistic political atmosphere in Ghana is not helping Ghana anyway; instead, it’s dividing a country in which citizens aren’t interested in political violence.

The NPP and NDC members keep exchanging insults. In many African countries, experience reveals a similar issue leading to political violence. I want to use this platform to humbly ask Ghanaians to stop the uncivilized behavior and help Nana Akufo-Addo’s government make Ghana a better place.

Such political antagonism can never help a nation to thrive or flourish. This is one of the reasons Ghanaians see no progress in the country and are now blaming Nana Akufo-Addo for all the hardships, without taking into consideration the shortest period this president has been in office.

Political opponents spend time posting angry, abusive, and discriminatory comments and articles against each other, and think such articles will help Ghana as a nation. Antagonistic politics is killing Ghana at a very fast rate, like how corruption is having serious implications for Ghana.

Anger and insults have now become identified with Ghanaian politics, and no political party is prepared to help each other to help other parties succeed because of greed and corruption.

It is not beyond belief to imagine how Ghana can be transformed under multiple plans, solutions, and opinions from different political parties. If no political party is willing to help the present Ghanaian government restore Ghana to its former state, then no one should be a stumbling block to its efforts.

Finding solutions to curb and reduce armed robbery in Ghana

Armed robbery not only puts the lives of Ghanaians in danger, but it also affects the development of a country. No matter how great Ghana’s political history is, with wonderful sight attractions, the country can never earn enough foreign exchange if armed robbery is prevalent in the country. Armed robbery scares tourists because it’s a crime.

There are many ways to reduce armed robbery in every country. I will, therefore, share my opinions if they will be useful to the Ghanaian government. There are too many illegal firearms in Ghana because, either sold to armed robbers by some policemen or snatched away by the robbers.

How can the Ghanaian government get back all the illegal firearms circulating in the country? This is where the Ghanaian government has to build a friendly relationship with robbers and thieves and call for the submission of all illegal firearms. The government must give anyone who submits one gun a good, specified amount.

The government has to give them full assurance by not breaking the assurance that it is not a trap to arrest them. They are hungry and unemployed, which reason many are involved in armed robbery; therefore, if they gain any confidence in the government to submit an illegal firearm, the government shouldn’t abuse that trust to arrest any of them.

If this plan works, the Ghanaian government will see how many guns brave, hungry robbers will submit to them.

Another solution is giving armed robbers education to integrate into society. A special vocational school must be set up to train them in fields such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and driving. This is a way to give them a second life to avoid being a menace to society.

Criminal records reveal that thieves and armed robbers, after a prison sentence, go back to their old bad habits because society is no friend to them. Setting up a vocational school will educate those outgoing prisoners to live a useful and purposeful life.

My dear, Nana Akufo Addo, I don’t like politics, and I am not a member of any Ghanaian political party, but since I want you to be different and special among the past Ghanaian leaders, and transform Ghana to be a better place for everyone including me to enjoy, I will humbly ask you as a leader to try what I have suggested in this article and see if Ghana will not be free from armed robbers.
