Darren Jason Watkins Jr., globally known as IShowSpeed, arrived in Ghana as part of his Speed Does Africa tour, a 20‑country livestream journey that drew massive international attention.

 

His stop in Accra became one of the most talked‑about moments of the entire tour, not only because he expressed a heartfelt belief that his ancestors came from Ghana, but also because of the overwhelming reception he received from fans.

 

Crowds followed him through the streets, chanting his name, gifting him cultural items, and celebrating him as one of their own. During his visit, Ghanaian officials publicly praised him for showcasing the country to a global audience.

 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs even approved a Ghanaian passport for him, a symbolic gesture acknowledging what they described as “irrefutable ties” between Speed and Ghana. This official recognition sparked widespread conversation across the continent and beyond.

Speed’s time in Ghana was filled with cultural immersion—traditional drumming, local food, and spontaneous interactions with everyday Ghanaians. He expressed deep emotion at several heritage sites, reinforcing his belief that he was reconnecting with his ancestral lineage.

 

His livestreams captured raw, unscripted moments that resonated with millions of viewers worldwide, further amplifying Ghana’s visibility on the global stage.

 

What made IShowSpeed instantly famous?

 

Before his Africa tour, Speed had already become one of the world’s most recognizable online personalities. His fame exploded due to his high‑energy gaming streams, unpredictable reactions, and comedic outbursts, which quickly went viral across YouTube and TikTok.

 

His bold personality led to mainstream crossover moments, including a surprise appearance inside a WWE ring. He made a surprise in-ring debut as a replacement for the injured Akira Tozawa, entering the match as the eighth entrant.

 

His appearance was a major highlight, though he was eliminated within less than a minute after teaming with Bron Breakker to eliminate Otis, only to be speared by Breakker and subsequently thrown into the announce table by Otis.

 

iShowSpeed’s visit to Ghana in January 2026 was a landmark cultural moment, widely regarded as unforgettable and deeply impactful.

Whoever thinks wrestling is a fake sport, will change his mind after watching the match between the Russian Dragunov and the former NXT champion, the Austrian, Walter Hahn.

 

As a wrestling fan, I have been thrilled many times with tough matches but I wasn't expecting to see what transpired in the match between Dragunov and Walter.

 

Well, on the battlefield, if little David was able to slay the giant Goliath, then Dragunov can, and he proved it by defeating Walter to show that there is nothing impossible to achieve no matter how big the obstacle in your path poses a threat.

 

On NXT TakeOver 36, Walter and Dragunov participated in a violent match which forced Walter to submit. The match was previously postponed due to Walter’s injury in July.

After winning the championship by defeating Pete Dunne in April 2019, Walter’s reign lasted for 870 days.

 

To be the UK NXT champion exposed Dragunov to the most violent fight of his life in professional wrestling. It might be possible that he is not ready to leave this title soon.

NXT is part of the WWE, a wrestling company under the management of  Vince McMahon, the CEO, and his family, including Triple H, another distinguished WWE wrestler.

Everyone has his or her favorite sports. Mine is wrestling, but at times it's good to ask if it's worth watching WWE. World Wrestling Entertainment, owned and managed by Vince McMahon and family, has a bad reputation, often leading to conflicts with many of its past and present wrestlers.

What I've seen so far, there is no honesty and truth in WWE. It is a deceitful empire built on dishonesty, cheating, and betrayal by Vince McMahon and his family. It is not easy to manage WWE because there is no truth, and they don't want to run it in truth.

Referees are coached sometimes to favor the administration and other wrestlers, and when one fails to do 'the wrong' the management demands, he faces instant dismissal with the words "You are fired." In the name of 'It's good for business, there is hatred and discrimination in WWE.

Daniel Bryan is one of the greatest wrestlers in WWE. He has defeated John Cena, Kane, Randy Orton, and Triple H, yet the management, out of jealousy, has failed to acknowledge and recognize Daniel as the "Face of WWE." Under the instructions of Triple H and her wife, Kane tried to end Daniel Bryan's career a couple of weeks ago.

How can WWE fans continue to have faith in the sports when the whole WWE is under a bunch of tricksters and cunning liars? The cunning Vince McMahon left nothing good for his daughter and son-in-law to follow but lies, cheating, dishonesty, and betrayal.

Birds of the same feathers flock together. Vince McMahon is a liar and a cheat; therefore, her daughter Stephanie McMahon inherited the same disease from her father, and after marrying Triple H, he also automatically became one of the treacherous, dangerous, and wicked managers in the history of WWE.

Triple H calls himself king of kings, the game, cerebral assassin, but the cowardly wrestler uses a sledgehammer, while none of the great wrestlers, The Undertaker, Shaun Micheals, Stone Cold Austin, Goldberg, Hulk Hogan, Brock Lesnar, Edge, Bret Hart, etc, never used an object.

When any of the wrestlers speak against the management, they get punished in a country thriving on democracy. WWE thinks the management makes the wrestlers famous and rich, but one thing they forget is that, without the wrestlers, there wouldn't be WWE. 

I strongly believe that the controversy surrounding Vince McMahon's WWE costs his wife Linda the Senate seat despite winning the Republican Party nomination. If the managers of WWE want the public and fans to take them seriously and stop calling WWE fake, then they should quit this life of dishonesty. 

WWE FANS AWAIT FOR THE RETURN OF THE GREAT UNDERTAKER

'Undertaker,' the mysterious wrestler


A few weeks ago, after defeating Rey Mysterio, Mark William Gallaway, popularly known as "The Undertaker," appeared no more in the ring to wrestle. 

Later, Theodore Long, the manager of SmackDown, announced that the Undertaker had been seriously attacked by unknown assailants and was now in a vegetative state.

The news appeared to be true, firstly because the Undertaker failed to appear in the ring after his last fight with Rey Mysterio, and secondly, the search for the culprits by his half-brother Kane is enough to convince WWE fans that the reports are true rather than mere false.

Many said that the Undertaker is dead, while others think the wrestler is still living. Because he is someone known to have faked his own death many times. 

But what makes this wrestler so special from other wrestlers? I have never ever seen a wrestler tough and brave in the history of WWE more than this fearful wrestler called "The Undertaker".

Many have tried to get a name for themselves at his expense, and all have gone down the drain. His gimmicks, casket matches, and hell in a cell matches are frightening to watch. 

He has defeated more opponents than those who have defeated him. Many are those that say that wrestling is fake. If you think is fake, then step into the ring with the Undertaker to taste the "tombstone piledriver".

It was announced last week that the Undertaker is coming back after his long absence from the ring, and his first appearance will be in England. Now, all WWE fans are waiting for his return. His impact on the WWE scene is awesome. 

The Undertaker is not only a professional, talented, brave, and fearless wrestler but a legendary wrestling hero.
