CAN THE CORONAVIRUS ATTACK IMMUNE SYSTEM LIKE HIV?

Research reveals that coronavirus has mutated gene similar to HIV

Research reveals that coronavirus has mutated gene similar to HIV

According to Chinese health experts, the new coronavirus pneumonia virus and the AIDS virus—HIV—have something in common: they attack the body's immune system. This was discovered after the autopsy report on 20 people who died from the virus was confirmed after the analysis.

The 20 autopsy report confirmed that their immune systems are almost completely destroyed. The destruction pattern of internal organs is similar to the combination of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and AIDS.

According to a published analysis of the report, a paper published in "Cellular and Molecular Immunology" by researchers from the New York Blood Center and Fudan University in Shanghai, the process of the Wuhan pneumonia virus infection mechanism and the front line phenomenon are consistent.

T lymphocytes, also called T cells, in the human body are mainly responsible for identifying and eliminating foreign invaders in the body and are the core role of the immune system.

According to the instructions of this paper, T lymphocytes were cultured in the laboratory, and when adding a live pneumonia virus in Wuhan, the scientists found that T cells become prey to coronavirus.

The researchers found a unique structure in the spike protein of the virus. When the virus contacts the T cell, it seems to trigger the fusion of the virus membrane and the cell membrane; then, after the virus gene enters the T cell, the cell loses protection and antiviral function, so that the entire immune system crashes.

The researchers conducted the same experiment on severe acute respiratory syndrome, or another coronavirus, SARS. As a result, they found that although the SARS virus is the same type of new coronavirus, it does not have the ability to infect T cells; they suspect that the reason is that the SARS virus lacks membrane fusion function.

After the outbreak of SARS in 2003, it did not cause a pandemic again. According to the research of scientists, the SARS virus can only infect cells carrying a specific receptor protein called ACE2, and the protein is extremely low in T cells.

The researchers said in this the research paper that such findings are expected to help the world face Wuhan in the fight against pneumonia and provide a new idea

A doctor in a public hospital in Beijing who treated pneumonia in Wuhan said in an anonymous interview that the finding has become the latest evidence of growing concerns in the clinical medicine community.

In the front line of the fight against SARS, health care workers have long suspected the Wuhan pneumonia virus in the clinical manifestations, and the most notorious human HIV virus attacks are very similar.

According to the 'South China Morning Post,' the 'Chinese People's Liberation Army Immunology Institute' issued a clinical report in February warning that the number of T cells in patients with pneumonia in Wuhan may decline significantly, especially for those who are older or require intensive care patients treated in the laboratory; the lower the patient's T cell count, the higher the risk of death.

Scientists are puzzled that the genes behind the fusion function with T cells have not been found in other coronaviruses in humans or animals. Similar sequences.

However, according to this new study, there is a major difference between the Wuhan virus and HIV. HIV can replicate in T cells and, at the same time, continue to produce more replicating HIV viruses to infect other cells.

But the scientists of this study found that the Wuhan virus did not observe any growth of coronavirus after entering T cells; the Wuhan virus and T cells may eventually die together.

However, this study also raises some new questions. For example, the new coronavirus can be present in some patients for several weeks without causing any symptoms. How these patients interact with T cells in the body requires further research.

COMMUNIST CHINA SUPPRESSED LI WENLIANG’S CORONAVIRUS INFORMATION TO KILL THOUSANDS

The late Dr. Li Wenliang. If the Chinese government had taken his information about the coronavirus seriously, it would have saved thousands of lives around the globe

The late Dr. Li Wenliang. If the Chinese government had taken his information about the coronavirus seriously, it would have saved thousands of lives around the globe.

When the new coronavirus epidemic began to germinate, the ophthalmologist Li Wenliang, who was in Wuhan, began to warn his peers, but he was warned by the police for spreading false information.

After the outbreak of the epidemic, the rumors spread by Li Wenliang became a true reminder of the epidemic prevention, and the people also praised the whistleblower who bravely released information. However, Li Wenliang, unfortunately, was hospitalized with a new coronavirus a few days ago and eventually passed away.

With the outbreak of the new coronavirus in China in 2020, according to the latest data released by the worldometer, an international team of developers, researchers, and volunteers providing global data on the coronavirus, there are currently 81,708 confirmed cases in the local area, with a total of 3,331 deaths.

On the same day, Li Wenliang, an ophthalmologist at the Wuhan Central Hospital, who revealed the coming of the pandemic to draw everyone's attention to the new coronavirus, died of serious illness at the age of 34.

Back on December 30 last year, Dr. Li Wenliang, who was serving in Wuhan Central Hospital, suspected SARS coronavirus response in a patient. He warned the university students who are also doctors to wear protective clothing to avoid infection when attending to such patients.

On January 3, the Wuhan Municipal Public Security Bureau interviewed Li Wenliang, condemning him for making untrue statements on the internet, causing public panic, and asking him to sign the discipline book, which read:

"We hope you calm down and reflect on it, and solemnly warn you: If you are stubborn, do not repent, and continue to carry out illegal activities, you will be punished by the law! Do you understand? "

Li Wenliang wrote the word 'understand' underneath and fingerprinted it. In addition, seven netizens and Li Wenliang suffered similarly. They were all warned by the authorities for sharing their observations of the new coronavirus on the internet.

These eight People are now called "Wuhan Eight Gentlemen" by netizens. On January 10, Li Wenliang's body began to develop a condition. He began to cough, and on January 11, he developed fever symptoms.

On January 12, he was admitted to the hospital, diagnosed with coronavirus pneumonia. His parents have also had the symptoms.

If the authorities announce the information earlier

Li Wenliang recalled that when he was treating a glaucoma patient, he was infected by the patient. At that time, he did not know that the patient was infected with the new coronavirus, and he did not know that the epidemic would break out.

"If government officials had released relevant information earlier, I think the situation would be much better, and the government should be more open and transparent," Li Wenliang said in an interview with The New York Times during his lifetime.

He also announced details of the government's request for silence while he was hospitalized, and helped the media restore and piece together the time when the government failed to start the epidemic prevention operation as early as possible.

After the outbreak, Li Wenliang became a well-known figure in China because of his prophetic warning, which was initially ignored.

Subsequently, the mayor of Wuhan, Zhou Xianwang, admitted on television that the epidemic prevention information was not immediately shared with the public, but this was because national laws prohibited him from exposing it early.

Such an explanation could not extinguish the public's anger at the authorities' attempt to cover up the information and crack down on the whistleblower.

Following this grave error or 'crime,' the Communist Party’s Supreme People's Court issued a long article condemning the Wuhan police for taking action against a piece of truly significant information so quickly, without investigation.

Finally, the Wuhan police apologized to Li Wenliang and the seven others who had been accused of disseminating false information.

However, neither the authorities' apology nor epidemic prevention measures can effectively prevent the angry and destructive coronavirus from global attack nor bring Wenliang back to life.
