Life lessons worth knowing before you decide to give up

Your life is not between birth and death. It is between your inhalation and exhalation. The present moment, the here and now, is the only life you truly possess. So live every moment with kindness, peace, and without fear or regret. This is all anyone can genuinely expect from themselves.

Life is short

This is your life, and you must fight for it. Fight for the truth and for what you believe. Fight for what matters to you and for the people you love, and never forget to tell them how much they mean to you.

Understand how fortunate you are. For now, you still have the chance to act, to change, to begin again. So pause, reflect, and if something needs to be done, start today. After all, how many years remain for you on this earth?

Today’s difficulties will pay off tomorrow

When you work hard for something meaningful, earning a diploma, building a business, or achieving any personal goal that demands time and effort, ask yourself one question: “Am I ready to go for it?” Do not look back. Move forward, because that is the foundation of your future.

Procrastination makes you a slave to yesterday

When you take action without delay, yesterday becomes a friend, ready to lift burdens from your shoulders. So do something today that your future self will thank you for. Believe me, tomorrow you will be glad you acted today.

Any error can be learned from

Good things come to those who continue to hope despite disappointment, who keep believing despite mistakes, and who continue to love even when love hurts. Never regret what happened. It cannot be changed; time travel has not yet been invented. Treat every experience as a lesson and keep moving forward.

You are your own best friend

Happiness begins when you like yourself, and for that, you do not need anyone’s approval. Before you build healthy relationships with others, learn to befriend yourself. Before you can look confidently into the eyes of others, you must first see love and worthiness in your own reflection.

Actions speak louder than words

Along life’s path, you will meet wonderful people who speak beautifully. But in the end, judge them not by their words but by their deeds. Their actions will reveal everything.

Even a small good deed makes the world better

Smile at those who have had a difficult day and be kind to them. Kindness is the only investment that always pays off. Wherever there are people, there is an opportunity to show kindness.

Learn to give freely, without conditions, even if it is only a smile. Not because you have too much, but because many people feel they have nothing left at all.

Behind every beauty and pain

You stumble and fall, make mistakes, and suffer defeat, but you rise again. You live, and life teaches you. You are human; no one is perfect. After falling, you are injured, not defeated. Consider how valuable these lessons are; they help you break obstacles on the path toward your goals with love.

Yes, sometimes experience breaks your heart, but is that not a fair price for moments of joy and fulfillment? Move forward even when you are hurt, because the inner strength that brought you this far can carry you further.

Time and experience heal pain

I left the shores of Ghana in 1980 after the sudden death of my father at age 44 in 1976. To survive, I lived in Nigeria, The Gambia, the Republic of Guinea, the Ivory Coast, and Sierra Leone before reaching Europe. In Europe, I lived in Spain, Britain, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Denmark.

I married at age 38. I live with my wife and children in Belgium. In January 2019, we celebrated 25 years of marriage. I have written eight books available on Amazon.com, all inspired by my life and experiences.

What else do I need from God? He has given me good health. On January 19, 2019, I turned 62. I feel strong every day. I love myself and my family because time has healed my wounds and crowned my efforts.
