For years, digital publishing was celebrated as the great equalizer, a space where independent voices could rise, where small publishers could reach global audiences, and where journalism was no longer controlled by a handful of institutions.


However, today, a silent crisis is unfolding across the digital world, one that threatens the very existence of independent media: the collapse of visibility caused by Big Tech’s algorithmic dominance. Small publishers are not losing because their content lacks quality.
