Don’t envy the celebrity spotlight: Embrace the power of your authentic self

Don’t envy the celebrity spotlight: Embrace the power of your authentic self

There are many celebrities in prison

Many people aspire to be famous because they receive special attention, are greeted with red carpets at events, and, above all, have millions of fans and admirers. They are also wealthy, so they can travel anywhere in the world.

With that said, I have a story to share with you. There is a saying in Ghana, where I was born, that says you should never wish to be someone because you see the person happy and wealthy, since not everything that glitters is gold. That is accurate.

I wish to convey to my friends or readers that, although many people believe that being a celebrity is all about money, fame, jewels, could afford everything they want and live a luxurious life, being a famous or a celebrity may be a difficult life.

Everything they do is open to public scrutiny, and every decision they make is rigorously examined. Celebrities are actually followed when they go grocery shopping, and many of them are unable to walk out on their own without bodyguards. This is not a happy life.

This is the worst thing that can happen to a famous person. Many earn millions of dollars, attend film premieres, educational and entertainment events, and live in fancy homes and cars that make others wish they could live like them.

I would like to know why celebrities commit suicide if being a star brings all the enjoyment one could ever want. Why do famous people end up homeless? Why do famous people shoplift? Most importantly, why do famous people develop drug addictions?

FEMALE CELEBRITIES - WHY MANY DON'T PUT ON UNDERWEAR?

It will be far easier for a camel to pass through the eye of the needle than for celebrities to tell their fans that they are unhappy. Some people are unable to sleep at all and are dependent on sleeping pills, which eventually start to affect them.

Celebrities receive invitations and participate in activities throughout the duration of their lives; as a result, many appear older than the average poor person. Many are forced to undergo facial surgery, which frequently harms them, because they are afraid of seeming elderly or old, since their followers mean a lot to them.

Just be who you are; life is not a competition, therefore, don’t compete with anyone. Although the life of a celebrity can be a veritable paradise when viewing the stars on screens or in glossy magazines, not all parts of the world are green.

Though many don't pray, have nothing to do with God, or the Bible, when they run into issues with unforeseen turns of events, they frequently ask God, "Why me?" God is spirit; therefore, if you worship in truth, that spirit will give you happiness and rest.

Being rich is not a crime as long as you work hard for it, but you must realize that money can’t always buy true happiness or genuine love. Kindness is what makes life happy, and you should never treat people the way you wouldn’t like anyone to treat you. That is the key to contentment.

Will You Continue Writing If Your First Book Did Not Sell?

Book writing

Book writing

Unfortunately, many have already given up or quit writing because the book that they thought could make them a bestselling author has totally disappointed them, terminating their desire to be a good author.

In a world where thousands of books are published yearly and affected by the rapid decline of reading, many are struggling in the field of writing with shattered dreams.

What is making the situation worse is the sick habit of some famous writers, who often use Social Media platforms to discredit other writers’ work as a way to draw readers’ attention to their works or gain more recognition and fame.

Again, some unknown and new writers who want their voice heard or recognition resort to undermining other writers’ work on social platforms as well.

I have read such distasteful comments about other writers over and over, wondering: Why do some people live with greed and selfishness, aiming to achieve whatever they are looking for?

As a matter of fact, if one is intelligent enough to write a book, that intelligence is enough to teach the person that “Success comes to people who wish others success. They should conduct research and find out: “Whoever digs a hole against someone will surely fall into that hole himself.”

As an aspiring writer, what pushed you into writing? What are the motives that triggered your desire into book publishing, money, or fame?

I’m interested in these questions because if you’re an aspiring or new writer, entering into the field of publishing, with the desire of becoming a millionaire overnight, then I’m sorry, you will end up disappointed and depressed.

This is the situation many aspiring writers are facing today. What many writers have failed to realize is that stepping into the field of book publishing as a new writer is like a stranger proposing to a woman he finds attractive.

She doesn’t know you; she, therefore, needs more time to know your background and where you come from.

This investigation or proposal may last a month or years, depending on what kind the lady she is. After her investigations, if she is satisfied, she will accept the man’s proposal and marry him. In the same way, it takes a short or very long time for readers to accept or reject your book as an author.

If you have this in mind, as a new writer, before entering the field of book publishing, you will always be happy, easy, and relaxed, no matter how poor or fast your books are moving.

There shouldn’t be a competition in book publishing. If your book doesn’t suit this generation, another generation will accept it. The reason many writers become famous years after their death is.

There is a time for everything. A time to sow and to harvest, sickness and healthiness. Thus, there will be a time when the underestimated shall be estimated.

Let this article encourage you if you have already given up or decided to do so. Even though the writing is considered to be one of the most dangerous professions, let the writing continue unabated until the bones are rotten.

LANCE ARMSTRONG: A FALLEN HERO?

Lance Armstrong

Lance Armstrong

The hot pursuit of fame, money, and success continues to be an obsession. We are in a world where if one doesn't appear on television, you are not classified as a human being.

There are intelligent people, writers, civil servants, engineers, pilots, soldiers, and police, serving their country, but because they don't appear on television, they aren't known, and society gives them little respect and recognition.

It is now a competition. Many people would do everything and anything to be famous. Many female celebrities, because of fame, would open their legs, without underwear, to show their hairy or shaved vaginas to photographers, for the media to get something to write.

The most disgusting thing I have ever seen. I wonder if they are mothers raising children. As one of the world's most respected cyclists, his thirst for fame has led him to deviate. He used banned sports steroids, enhancement drugs and continuously deceived the public.

In his recent interview with Oprah, Lance Armstrong admitted he cheated during most of his famed career and that he bullied people who dared to speak the truth about him.

After denying doping allegations for more than a decade, he said he used banned drugs or blood transfusions during all seven of his victories in the Tour de France. " I will spend the rest of my life trying to earn back trust and apologize to people", said Lance Armstrong.

"Do you think this big shame and embarrassment would be the last thing in sports?". Trust me, more is yet to come. Nothing would serve as a deterrent to man. As long as many are thirsty for fame, money, and power, they will do everything to achieve this, regardless of the consequences.

Some are lucky to escape disgrace, but many will be exposed. We should be prepared to read more such news in the future. Lance Armstrong has disappointed his fans.

WYCLEF JEAN: CAN HIS FAME GUARANTEE HIS POLITICAL AMBITION?

Wyclef Jean

Wyclef Jean

Ambition, fame, and money are some of the tools that inspire many people into one thing or another. Rapper and R&B singer Wyclef Jean would like to be the president of his native country, Haiti.

Cross-over from one profession to another has been successful for many, but not everyone. Ronald Reagan was a former actor who became a governor in the state of California, then in 1981, went on to become the president of the United States of America.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Austrian-born bodybuilder turned film star, gradually made it to the top to become the governor of California. Fred Thompson, from the television series "Law and Order," couldn't achieve his political ambition as a senator because of little support.

In Africa, especially Nigeria, many millionaires, including  Moshood Abiola, Obafemi Awolowo (both deceased), couldn't fulfill their dreams of being the president of their country. The great Afro-Beat musician, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, also failed despite his thousands of fans behind him.

George Weah, the Liberian soccer star, in the year 2005, joined the presidential race in his country, Liberia, but couldn't achieve his political dream.  He is now studying economics at the University of Florida in America.

The question is, "Can Wyclef Jean's fame enhance his chance as a politician to win a seat as president in his country, suppose he wants to contest?" The answer is unknown. But it is always better for one to try something and see the result than not to try at all.
