Belgium's Sfinks Festival, one of the top summer events with hundreds of attendees, has drawn top performers from all over the world to perform there. One of the sons of the reggae icon Bob Marley, Ky-Mani Marley, is one of the performers at this year's festival.

From the father to the kids, the name Marley is like a magnet drawing in reggae enthusiasts, so it wasn't out of the ordinary for them to swarm the Sfinks’ arena as Ky-Mani was about to start his performance.

Ky-Mani was greeted by a thunderous roar as he took the stage and began giving his supporters what they had been waiting for. The energetic young man, known for his powerful vocal delivery, musicianship, and ability to engage with the public, enthralled the audience with his lyrics.

The Grammy-nominated reggae artist won over fans' hearts with his distinctively warm and raspy vocals. He combines pop, rock, reggae, and rhythm and blues into his songs, adding enthralling arrangements and improvisational sounds.

Ky-Mani eagerly shared his experience with his upcoming new album, "Love & Energy," and sang a couple of songs, including the single "All This Love," with a poignant celebration of togetherness, faith, and divine love, supported by skilled musicians and two enchanting female vocals.

Ky-mani sang "Three Little Birds, One Love, Roots Rock Reggae, and Could You Be Loved,” giving more satisfaction to his fans.

Sfinks Festival is one of the numerous summer festivals in Belgium, yearly hosted in Boechout, a community on the outskirts of Antwerp. The festival has been running continuously for over three decades.

What has made the festival famous is the idea of pulling musicians from different countries all over the world to bring them under one roof in Antwerp to entertain the people, hence the term "Mixed Sfinks Festival".

YOUSSOU N'DOUR RETURNS TO SFINKS FESTIVAL

Youssou N'Dour

Youssou N'Dour

As large and updated as African music is, one of the names making African music popular is Youssou N'dour. His regal garment in the Senegalese mbalax is thicker than any esteemed armor meant to be achieved in the vibrant Tama, percussion, and marimba-influenced style.

A good product truly doesn't need any advertising. Youssou has dominated African music for over two decades. He has played, toured widely, and collaborated with many international singers. Sfinks festival is not a new place for him.

Youssou played there a couple of years ago. Surprisingly, the 35th edition of this year's festival has brought him back to the podium to entertain the people.

Youssou has succeeded in transporting mbalax to the far extreme of the global platform. His concerts in Europe and America attract a large audience.

Born in Dakar, Senegal 1959, N'dour is a singer endowed with a remarkable range and poise as a composer and producer. He absorbs the entire Senegal musical spectrum in his work.

Named "African artist of the century" by the English publication Folk Roots, at the threshold of the year 2000, Youssou has made mbalax famous throughout the world for more than twenty years of recording and touring in Senegal.

He remains a revered figure in his country and in the ever-growing worldwide Senegalese diaspora.

He has a duet with many international stars, including Peter Gabriel and Neneh Cherry. For more information on his second appearance at the Sfinks festival, go to http://www.sfink.be/.
