Under the thumb of white-collar criminals, justice remains elusive for Black people

 

The Black man in Belgium does not have access to justice, exactly like in the United States of America. 

Justice remains elusive for Black people in the United States due to deeply entrenched systemic racism embedded across all stages of the criminal justice system. Racial disparities are well-documented and not accidental but rather rooted in a history of oppression, discriminatory policies, and biased decision-making that disproportionately targets Black individuals.

 

From policing to sentencing, Black people face higher rates of stops, arrests, pretrial detention, and harsher sentencing compared to white individuals, even when controlling for offense type and criminal history. Black men, who comprise about 13% of the male population, make up approximately 35% of those incarcerated, and one in three Black men born today can expect to be incarcerated in their lifetime, compared to one in six Latino men and one in 17 white men.

 

The origins of modern policing trace back to slave patrols designed to control and capture runaway enslaved people, establishing a legacy of surveillance and violence against Black communities. This history continues today through practices such as racial profiling, with Black individuals being five times more likely to be stopped without just cause than white people.

 

Police killings of unarmed Black Americans contribute to a significant mental health burden, with estimates suggesting over 50 million additional days of poor mental health annually among Black Americans due to these incidents. Despite being disproportionately impacted by fatal police violence, making up 22% of fatal shootings despite being 13.4% of the population, few officers are prosecuted, with only 35 of 98 officers arrested since 2005 convicted of a crime, and only three convicted of murder.

 

In the courtroom, racial bias affects every phase of the legal process, including jury selection, charging decisions, plea negotiations, and sentencing. African American defendants are 22% more likely to have convictions overturned due to police misconduct, and 47% of exonerated individuals in wrongful conviction cases are African American.

The war on drugs has disproportionately devastated Black communities, with African Americans representing 29% of drug arrests and 33% of drug incarcerations despite using illicit drugs at similar rates to white Americans. As of 2022, African Americans were 5.9 times more likely to be incarcerated than whites, and Hispanics were 3.1 times more likely.

 

These disparities are not isolated incidents but reflect a broader pattern of systemic racism that criminalizes poverty and maintains racial hierarchies. The U.S. has the largest prison population in the world, with more Black people under correctional control today than were ever enslaved in the country’s history. This system perpetuates generational trauma, economic inequality, and disenfranchisement, undermining the promise of equal justice.

 

I have lived in Belgium for twenty-five years; I have never seen a single justice for the Black people. People of African descent continue to face dehumanization. There are thousands of Belgian journalists in the country, yet nobody is interested in writing or publishing about crime against Black people in the country. I am the only African writer who has been able to write about some of these crimes, yet the Belgian government and Google have removed a lot of them from my blog.

 

I have been complaining and have written many articles about the crimes of the Belgian government and Google against me and my blog, yet nothing has improved. When I went to the Stuivenberg hospital to investigate the strange circumstances of the death of many Africans, a female official of the Stad Antwerpen said I was crazy when I accused the hospital of stealing the body parts of Africans and deliberately killing them.

 

In my opinion, the female official isn’t an intelligent fellow. What do they expect me to say when the Belgian government and the royal family have built a statue of a lunatic king that orchestrated the killing of over 10 million Africans in the Congo? Once a statue has been built for a murderer, it makes sense to say that the Stuivenberg Hospital was deliberately killing African patients after stealing their body parts. I am happy that after my investigation, the hospital is now permanently closed. 

 

Some years ago, the Belgian government collaborated with Google and deliberately destroyed our genuine health blog to cover up political and medical crimes by the US government, Belgium, the World Health Organization, and the Centers for Disease Control; however, not this time with my personal blog. 

I am ready to fight Google and any individual with my pen, and the impact of the damage will be more effective than a spear. I have seen that in Belgium, just like in the United States of America, the Black man has no respect and access to justice. I will not beg for any respect. However, as long as I am certain that I have not committed any crimes, I will fight for my survival unabated.

I built this blog, and I know its performance, but the fact that they are changing things and slowing it down to discourage reading means they continue to manipulate the blog. How African leaders are pushing for recognition of colonial crimes

African leaders are advocating for the acknowledgment of historical injustices from the colonial period, their formal classification as crimes, and the pursuit of reparations. The Algerian foreign minister stated that African nations and their populations still endure significant consequences due to the colonial actions of Western powers.

 

During a summit in Algiers, officials and dignitaries assembled to advance an African Union decision, which was approved at a gathering earlier this year and demands accountability and compensation for those harmed by colonial rule, as reported by the Associated Press.

 

Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf stated that Algeria's history under French colonial rule demonstrated the necessity of pursuing compensation and the recovery of looted assets. He further noted that a legal structure would guarantee that such restitution is not perceived as a "gift or a favor."

 

“Africa is entitled to call for a formal and unequivocal acknowledgment of the offenses perpetrated against its populations throughout the colonial era, an essential initial move toward addressing the repercussions of that period, for which African nations and communities still bear a heavy cost through isolation, marginalization, and underdevelopment,” stated Attaf.

 

Global agreements and laws enacted by the majority of nations forbid actions including slavery, torture, and apartheid. As reported by the Associated Press, the United Nations Charter forbids the acquisition of territory through force, though it does not directly address colonialism.

 

The lack of representation became a central issue during the African Union's February summit. At the gathering, heads of state deliberated on a draft plan to formulate a collective stance regarding reparations and the formal classification of colonialism as a crime against humanity.

 

The economic toll of colonialism on Africa is considered immense, with estimates reaching into the trillions of dollars. European nations extracted vast quantities of natural resources using frequently harsh and coercive methods. 

The sale of commodities like gold, rubber, diamonds, and various minerals generated enormous wealth for the colonizers, a process that systematically impoverished the indigenous communities.

 

In recent times, nations across Africa have intensified their calls for the repatriation of cultural artifacts taken during colonial eras, which remain in the collections of European museums, as reported by the Associated Press.

 

Minister Attaf emphasized that hosting the conference in Algeria was a deliberate choice, given the nation's history of enduring some of the harshest aspects of French colonial domination and its fierce struggle for independence from 1954 to 1962. 

This legacy had profound effects, including the extension of substantial political, economic, and social advantages to almost a million European settlers, even though Algeria was formally integrated into France and its citizens were drafted to serve in World War II.

 

Hundreds of thousands perished in the revolution within the Arab nation, where French forces engaged in the torture of detainees, the disappearance of suspects, and the destruction of villages as tactics to suppress insurgents and uphold their authority. 

“On our continent, the bitter experience that Algeria has had is a rare example, almost unparalleled in history, in terms of its nature, logic, and practice,” Attaf stated.

 

Algeria's historical background has consistently influenced its position on the contested Western Sahara, a one-time Spanish territory that is claimed by adjacent Morocco and the pro-independence Polisario Front, as reported by the Associated Press.

 

On Sunday, Attaf characterized this as an incomplete process of decolonization, aligning with the African Union's official stance, even as an increasing number of member states have endorsed Morocco's territorial claim.

 

Algeria's foreign minister described Western Sahara as "Africa's last colony" and commended the Sahrawi people's efforts "to defend their legitimate right to self-determination, which is confirmed and constantly reaffirmed by international law and the UN's decolonization doctrine."

 

For many years, Algeria has maintained that the struggle against colonialism must be pursued in line with international legal standards, even as its leaders have exercised care to prevent the escalation of friction with France, a nation where the historical memory of the conflict continues to be a delicate political issue.

 

In 2017, French President Emmanuel Macron described some historical occurrences as crimes against humanity, yet he stopped short of offering a formal apology and encouraged Algerians to look beyond the wrongs of history.

 

Mohammed Arezki Ferrad, an Algerian parliamentary representative, stated to the Associated Press that any compensation must extend beyond a mere symbolic gesture. He emphasized that numerous Algerian artifacts seized by France remain unrepatriated. Among these is the "Baba Merzoug," a cannon from the 16th century presently housed in Brest.

 

In early November, The Guardian covered comparable appeals in the Caribbean, noting that a delegation from a group spearheading the push for slavery reparations in the area is set to travel to the UK to champion the cause.

 

Governments across the Caribbean are likewise urging acknowledgment of the enduring impacts left by colonialism and slavery. They are demanding that justice be restored by former colonial nations, which should include formal, unreserved apologies alongside monetary reparations.

Landmark ruling finds Belgium guilty of crimes against humanity in colonial Congo—By North Africa Post in Europe

The Court of Appeals in Brussels has ruled that Belgium must pay reparations to five women who were forcibly taken from their mothers and put in orphanages in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) when it was still a Belgian colony because they were victims of “systematic kidnapping” by the state.

 

The appellate judges thus overturned an earlier decision by another court that too much time had elapsed for the state to be charged, ruling that although the abductions of the five mixed-race women happened 70 years ago, they constituted crimes against humanity and were, therefore, not subject to statutes of limitations.

 

 “The court orders the Belgian state to compensate the appellants for the moral damage resulting from the loss of their connection to their mother and the damage to their identity and their connection to their original environment,” the judgment read.

 

The five women fought a legal battle over some six years to make Belgium recognize responsibility for the suffering of thousands of mixed-race children. Known as “métis,” the children were snatched away from their families and placed in religious institutions and homes by Belgian authorities that ruled Congo from 1908 to 1960.

 

While a lower court had first dismissed their challenge in 2021, they persisted and appealed the ruling. The five women, who are now in their 70s and 80s, filed their lawsuit in 2020 amid growing demands for Belgium to reassess its colonial past in Congo, Rwanda, and Burundi.

People and institutions may oppress those who speak or write the truth due to a complex interplay of power dynamics, fear of consequences, and the maintenance of control. Individuals in positions of authority often feel threatened when the truth undermines their power or exposes wrongdoing, leading to retaliation against truth-tellers.

 

This fear is amplified by the potential for personal or professional repercussions, such as losing a job, facing legal action, or damaging relationships, which can deter individuals from being honest.

 

Institutional, individual, and governmental oppressions are often systemic, designed to maintain control through mechanisms like the suppression of freedom of speech, the manipulation of information, and the creation of a culture of fear and hatred.

 

Dystopian literature illustrates how authoritarian governments and institutions use mass surveillance, propaganda, controlled media, and the alteration of history to eliminate critical thinking and opposition. This is the problem I have been facing for years on my Blogger blog.

 

Gone are the days when bloggers make choices of going for the right blog, thinking that it will give them the chance to express their views. Institutional crimes against writers and efforts to silence writers are on the rise. Those responsible don’t care because they have the power to do whatever they like with impunity.

 

The fear of being a target of unseen forces and losing your job, friends, and businesses haunts many business owners and entrepreneurs. The result is one of the serious ailments of society, forcing people to lie to avoid rejection or to maintain harmony, making the truth seem threatening.

 

Even when they do speak the truth, their voices are frequently distorted, appropriated, or dismissed, reinforcing existing power imbalances. I remember our genuine health blog, “Secrets of AIDS and Ebola Journal,” which was deliberately destroyed. I wrote on the front page, “Articles not in relation to what the WHO and CDC want you to know.” It was changed to “Articles are in relation to what the WHO and CDC want you to know.”

 

I feel very sorry for people, governments, and institutions that continue to mislead the world. I am an African; I know my roots; therefore, I know where I come from, which is why I speak in proverbs. “A child who wouldn’t like the mother to sleep by crying the whole night will also not sleep. You feel you have the power to make me miserable, but that will consume you, too.

 

The Blackman doesn’t have a platform to make his voice heard, and the law doesn’t favor him either, even if he is not guilty, so my only option is to write, and I will keep on writing until the manipulation of my blog is stopped and all the damage done to my Blogger is restored.

Google has collaborated with the Belgian government and is manipulating my blog to cover up their crimes. 

I am giving Google or Belgium just one day to restore all the manipulations I have discovered on my blog. After tomorrow, if my blog is not fixed like it was before, I will publish all the findings of what I have discovered on my blog. 

This abuse of power can't be accepted. Since you don't have respect for me, I will also not have respect for you. There are times we need to put Christianity aside and go deep for our voodoo to destroy dark forces; that's the only way to win this war. 

I have said over and over that the Belgian government and GOOGLE have no respect for Black people. I will not beg anyone to respect me, but I know what I am working on, which will destroy those forces.

I have nothing to lose; once again, I am repeating, GOOGLE must restore my blog immediately. What kind of nonsense is this? What crime have I committed to deserve this abuse of authority with impunity?  

My blog is quick and responsive because I regularly compress the HTML to reduce the weight of the CSS and JavaScript to pass the Google speed test. For example, the GT Metrix speed test results for my blog are 98% on desktop and 92% on mobile.

Among other things, my blog was purposefully modified by Google and the Belgian government to fail the Google speed test. They have made the blog slow so that when a visitor clicks on it, they will leave since they don't have time to wait.

 

Yesterday, I saw that it was 46% on desktop and 42% on mobile. This is what a business that has been imposing regulations on its clients and users for years is doing. The planet is confronted with the greatest hidden dangers.

Europe faces the threat of an abnormal heat wave

 

Europe is experiencing an unusual heat wave, with temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius prompting declarations of high weather threat in Italy, France, Spain, and other nations. While labor unions are demanding a temporary ban on outdoor work, authorities have closed schools and recommended that locals stay indoors throughout the day. In the meantime, Greece and Turkey are experiencing bushfires.

 

In June, the temperature in the Huelva region of Spain hit a record-breaking 46 degrees Celsius. Widespread forest fires and comparable temperatures were noted in Portugal, Greece, Italy, and the Western Balkans. A January 2025 study found that the impacts of heat kill about 175 thousand individuals in the WHO European Region per year.

 

Temperatures have also risen to critical levels in Portugal, where two-thirds of the country is under high alert. Temperatures in Lisbon are predicted to rise over 42 degrees Celsius. In order to lower the risk of fires and safeguard the public's health, officials have declared limitations on outdoor activities during the hottest hours.

 

Extreme weather conditions have also impacted Italy. To lower the danger of heatstroke and other heat-related problems, outdoor employment has been prohibited during peak hours in the regions of Lazio, Tuscany, Calabria, Puglia, and Umbria. Rome, Milan, Naples, and 21 of the 27 main cities have recorded temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.

Forecasts from the Belgian Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI) indicate that temperatures will rise over 25°C during the next few days, with many locations in the nation seeing temperatures as high as 34°C on Saturday.

To safeguard the safety of citizens, particularly vulnerable groups like the elderly and children, local authorities and trade unions are calling for the expansion of restrictions and the implementation of additional measures. Mobile teams have been organized to help individuals in need, and cooling and water distribution centers have already been established in several areas. Due to the risk of forest fires, Italy and Slovenia, neighboring countries, have issued a state of emergency.

You will agree with me that in that country, America, where you originate, there is law, yet the White man’s law doesn’t favor the Black man, who is never considered to be a human being in any part of the world, including other European countries such as Belgium.

 

Kamala, from the time you were elected as attorney general, how many Black people have been killed in America without any justice for their families?

 

How many Black people have been framed, wrongly accused because of their color, and incarcerated without any justice for them and their families?

 

So if you couldn’t help Black people or African-Americans when you were an attorney general, what can you do as a vice president?

 

You are in a country that calls itself a superpower; they interfere in other countries’ business, and they say it’s their right to instill proper human rights for everyone.

 

Yet, the same US government, like the Belgian government, has committed so many crimes against Black people in Africa, America, Haiti, Rwanda, Congo, etc., with impunity.

 

America continues to use biological weapons on innocent populations, and we have the cunning and deceitful media to support them today, telling the world the color of the object is green even though everyone knows it is brown.

 

In America there are so many pastors who claim to be prophets, yet none of them hear God’s voice to speak against the abuses of power, crimes against humanity, and the killing of innocent Black people in the United States of America.

 

At your hospitals, you have incubators to save lives, and you have both good and bad drugs and vaccines, which either heal or speed up the deaths of people, yet nobody has ever put breath in a dead person’s nostrils to bring him back to life.

 

Yet, the US government has the audacity to kill and destroy innocent people with AIDS, Ebola, nodding disease, Zika virus, Burkitt's lymphoma, Lassa fever, Kaposi's sarcoma, and coronavirus.

 

After that, the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control will pass false health information to the media; that's where the magic begins.

 

Then the fake media begins to spread the false health news provided on the websites of the WHO and CDC that primates, bats, bush meat, monkeys, poverty, etc., are responsible for Ebola, AIDS, and a nodding disease in Africa. The latter wicked and deceptive scientists call it a “strange disease.”

 

You see, Kamala, you may be very happy to be a vice president today in America, but the reality is nobody likes or respects you. Black people today are being included in many things, including ads and athletics, just to cover up crimes committed against them.

 

They want Black people to feel that they are part of them, but the truth is, Kamala Harris, you can share platforms with all the world's high-class leaders, yet you are still Black.

 

They will always see you as a slave, a second-class citizen, and a non-American that belongs to Africa, the continent Europe and America continue to decimate to feed their greed because of its precious mineral resources.

 

About five years ago, that was after I visited Stuivenberg, a hospital in Antwerp, to investigate the abnormally high death rate of Africans and put an end to it. Little did I know that my investigations would be read by a scientist in Holland and a German medical doctor.

 

I was invited to Holland and Germany to meet the late scientist and microsurgeon Johan van Dongen and Dr. Wolff Geisler. After meeting the scientist, we created a health blog and named it “Secrets of AIDS and Ebola Facts Journal” to provide the right health information to the general public.

 

Readers all over the world gained confidence in us and what we have achieved because our genuine health blog carries true health information contrary to what the deceptive criminal health institutions—the World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control—have provided to the general public on their websites.

 

Kamala Harris, that famous health website we created, “Secrets of AIDS and Ebola Facts Journal,” exists no more. It has been destroyed by Google, a search engine company that for decades has also aided, abetted, and supported crimes against humanity by ranking high fake health information in search engines for money.

 

My question, Kamala, is how can you be a vice president for such a thing to happen in America? Just as I said, that means nobody has respect for you.

 

In fact, everyone knows that Joe Biden just used you to pretend they want a change for the Black people in America, but the reality is, Kamala, you’ll always remain a slave or be seen as a second-class citizen.

 

What happened during the leadership of Obama in America? Nothing special for Black people; in fact, Obama was responsible for the Ebola that hit Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Liberia in 2014.

 

To this day, throughout America and Europe, many journalists are paid to write false articles about AIDS and Ebola. All medical crimes that have taken place in Africa are completely covered up with false medical information.

 

America and many colonialists have committed so many crimes against Black people to the extent that they feel restless.

 

The politicians can’t sleep because they don’t know what is going to happen to them the next day. Since they are not ready to apologize, they cowardly oppress writers whose articles are considered a threat.

 

I am not a violent person; therefore, no government should be scared of me. I only write the truth; what I will tell them is they shouldn’t feel threatened because my articles are based on the truth.

 

They should rather be ashamed of themselves and feel threatened because of their diabolical agenda. Governments and politicians should do the right thing, and they will never fear anything on earth. That's why I don't fear anyone.

 

How can Belgium build a statue for a king that committed so much crime in Africa if there is no statue of Hitler in Europe for killing 6 million Jews?

 

This is what they must be scared of, but not my articles. I don't promote violence, but the evil things they do are what are promoting violence. Yet, they aren't ready to change because fighting against the truth is now a normal thing since crime is a lucrative business.

 

He was a king that destroyed millions of people in Africa with impunity, but the Belgian government and its royal family think it's important to be rewarded and, therefore, build several statues across the country to give him honor.

EUROPE MOURNS AFTER THE DEVASTATING FLOOD

Europe on Tuesday paid tribute to the 196 lives lost in devastating floods. Belgium honored its 31 dead with a minute of silence at midday as part of its day of "national mourning." All flags are flown at half-mast for the day.

King Philippe and Prime Minister Alexander de Croo observed the minute of silence in Verviers, near Liege, where water from the torrential rain unleashed considerable damage after meeting with rescue workers and victims.

 

European Council President Charles Michel, a former Belgian prime minister, joined in silence with other European Union officials at the bloc's headquarters in Brussels.

 

"Our thoughts are with their (the victims') families and friends," he wrote on Twitter. "The European Union stands by you at this difficult time."

 

About 70 people are still unaccounted for across Belgium following the floods of July 14 and 15, according to the crisis center. The figure has gone down significantly over the past 48 hours as telephone lines have been restored.

The Vesdre valley, a tributary of the Meuse that burst its banks under the effect of the torrential rains and the saturation of a dam, is home to at least half of the victims, according to local politicians.

 

European Union environment ministers, who are meeting in Slovenia on Tuesday, will also observe the minute of silence.

 

German Chancellor Angela Merkel will meanwhile visit North Rhine-Westphalia on Tuesday to talk to rescuers and meet with the region's Minister-President Armin Laschet.

 

Germany has borne the brunt of the flooding, with 165 fatalities recorded so far—117 in Rhineland-Palatinate, 47 in North Rhine-Westphalia, and one in Bavaria.

 

It comes a day after she promised to improve the country's disaster warning system, severely criticized since the floods.

 

A German government spokeswoman conceded that "the experiences we have had with this disaster show that we have to do more and better."

 

Civil protection president Armin Schuster called on public radio for "the return of the good old sirens" so as not to rely solely on digital tools, but the siren system, a legacy of the Cold War to warn in case of a nuclear attack in particular, proved ineffective in September 2020, when a major test at the national level turned into a fiasco.

 

Some of the sirens did not go off due to technical problems, and some municipalities removed them altogether, deeming them useless.

 

Nearly 750 people were also injured in Germany because of the floods. Nearly 200 are still missing.

COVID-19 Pandemic, Each One For Himself, God For Us All

We can't ignore the fact that we are now in a very terribly frightening period, as the coronavirus infection increases without any promise or sign of subsiding in any part of the world.

Everyone, including children and adults, lives in fear as the world watches in horror as COVID-19 infects thousands of people each day while claiming the lives of thousands as well, sending them to their untimely grave. The impact of the coronavirus has affected our economy and health systems and made the life of a human being valueless and meaningless.

School children, university students, workers, etc., are all under psychological pressure and trauma, which could take several months or even years to recover from. Despite all the rules, the coronavirus in Belgium has not yet had any effect on the number of infections. 

The situation in Belgian hospitals is more than worrying. Corona numbers have been on the rise for weeks. Belgium has almost the most infections per hundred thousand inhabitants each day, and its impact has taken a heavy toll on the country.

 

Several Belgian newspapers have reported about filling up with corona in the country’s hospitals. That is really bad since it is likely that new coronavirus patients will be forced to seek medical attention at home with or without health personnel. The current COVID-19data reveals that Belgium has 412,314 confirmed cases and 11,452 deaths. 

Every country in the world is mourning, and the crisis has forced retired nurses, doctors, and health personnel to come and save lives. Unfortunately, many of the doctors have been killed by the virus while on duty, making the situation hopeless. And the more disturbing factor is old people living alone without anyone to take care of them.

 

When you are attacked by the coronavirus, you have one choice, which is probably to die at home because worldwide, there is no more space in the hospitals to accommodate COVID-19patients. This is the most difficult time for this generation: each one for himself, God for us all.

Scientists have predicted more deaths will occur during this winter because the respiratory viral infection is much more active during the winter. This is a fact because, in medical history, flu infections increase more in cold places than in temperate regions.

In this crucial time of COVID-19, so many deaths at the hospital have made life valueless, and since nobody can confirm how safe the new vaccines on the market are, if you believe in God, then pray for your own survival.

Interview with the ghost of King Leopold II: A satirical look at Belgium’s colonial past

 

Journalist and author Joel Savage interviews the Caucasian Idi Amin of Belgium, King Leopold II.

 

I believe everyone knows or has heard of King Leopold II. He was one of the greediest and bloodthirstiest kings in Belgium, who killed and maimed over ten million Africans, including women and children, during the colonial era in Congo. 


Despite that, there isn’t any statue of Adolf Hitler for killing six million Jews; Belgium built the statue and named streets after this lunatic. 

So I took a trip to the Neo-Gothic Church of Our Lady in Laeken, Brussels, where all the monarchs, including Leopold II, are buried, for this exclusive interview.

 

Joel: King Leopold, how do you feel about this interview?

 

Leopold:  I need peace in my grave. How can you interview a dead man?

 

Joel: If the Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons) could baptize the dead, then I could interview a dead man.

Leopold:  Please allow me to sleep peacefully in my grave. Why are you disturbing me?

 

Joel: You know what you did. You rendered thousands of villagers homeless by putting fire into their huts, amputated the hands and limbs of children, mutilated the genitals of fathers, and killed wives of husbands for the greed of rubber and the desire to be the world’s richest king, yet your country praised and applauded your crimes and named streets after you. 

That’s not the end; you have a statue in addition. Are you happy in your grave for such horrendous crimes you committed?

 

Leopold: Even if I am not happy at all in my grave, I wasn’t the one responsible for my statue, because I didn’t ask anyone to build my statue, and I named streets after myself.

 

Joel:  Who are you trying to shift the blame to? For remembrance and honor, wreaths are laid at cemeteries for people, including soldiers who sacrificed their lives for your country, but the innocent blood of Africans you shed and the children you murdered are being mocked by your statue.  Black Lives Matter. Do you think Belgium can mock the dead and be a happy country?

 

Leopold: I want to repeat it once again if you didn’t hear me. I didn’t tell my country to build a statue and name streets after me. They did it out of ignorance and foolish pride. They should be intelligent enough to know that I don’t deserve such a statue.

 

Joel: Many believe you are not human because, during that time span, greed and power propelled you to commit the most serious crimes, and you deserve to go down the gallows, but nobody gave a damn about what you were doing because everybody else did almost the same. The African soil was cut into pieces and confiscated by the foreigners, and the people were divided. 

The way of thinking at that time was that Black people could be used for everything as a resource and as disposable, and Africa is ours.  So who is the ignorant one, or the one who lacks wisdom, when you wore sheep’s clothing, deceiving the world as a good king, yet were on a killing spree?

Leopold: Don’t let me start scratching my head when there isn’t any itching. I have had enough in my grave. Tell my people to break down my statue and denounce the names of the streets named after me, because I can feel that my country is doomed because of this evil thing they did.

Joel: Your country is stubborn like a he-goat. They are confused because it’s one of the most divided and difficult countries to rule in the world. Their confusion is so deep that they can’t even differentiate good from evil. They have thousands of journalists, but none have written about this because they are not Africans. They don’t care.

Leopold: You have said the right thing, but be careful, or else you will be an enemy. I know my people; they are pretenders and bad, just like me.

Joel: I want to be an enemy of Leopold because that makes me an important person. When you are not important, no one hates you in society.

Joel:  I have two questions from my mentor, Professor Johan Dongen, for you. The first question is, you killed over ten million Africans, including children. Do you think there will be enough Africans left to kill by your grandchildren?

Leopold: Don’t bring my family into this. I did all those evil things alone.

Joel: I need to bring your family into this because wickedness and evil acts can be inherited by family, including grandchildren.

Joel:  Professor Dongen’s second question is, “You always carry a sword on your statues and portraits.” He may like to see it. Will you give it to him if it’s in your grave?

Leopold: That sword is cursed because of the evil things I did with it. If I give it to anyone, it will bring more disaster upon Belgium.

Leopold: Before I leave, please ask God to forgive me and let the same God touch the heart of my people so that I don’t deserve those statues and streets named after me. If they are wise enough, then they should break down the statues or keep them because the chicken always comes back home to roost.

Joel:  Are you sure you know God, King Leopold, and that you did this? Anyway, thank you for granting me this interview.

How Would The Coronavirus Affect Belgium's Awesome Summer Festivals?

Worldwide, many are intrigued by the amazing quality beers and chocolates, Belgium produces, visiting each year to enjoy and consume a variety of the products in the little country, with a diverse culture and hard workers. 

However, only a few know that Belgium is also a country that hosts the best summer festivals in the world. Like a magnet, the exotic and friendly atmosphere of Belgium's summer festivals invites people from all walks of life, including tourists, into the country. 

Belgium, the country I call the "little Jamaica in Europe," has diverse cosmopolitan festivals, such as the Pole-Pole festival, Mano Mundo, Sfinks Festival, Boombal festival, Tomorrowland, Rock Werchter, Bruges Beer Festival, Reggae Geel, Ghent Light Festival, Carnaval De Binche, Dour Festival, and a host of others.

The axiom, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy,” might have been conceived by a domestic idealist who knows the truth that working hard without a break can affect your health. Belgians, therefore, after hard work, spend enough time to enjoy their awesome festivals.

It is immensely regrettable that the impact of the coronavirus has changed things drastically in every part of the world, including Belgium. Leading as one of the best countries in Europe, with diverse industries and a busy seaport in Antwerp, Belgium, has enjoyed a booming, flourishing economy for years.

Even though the impact of COVID-19 has affected and changed many things in the country, no one can predict how long it will affect the activities of festivals in the country because of the strict rules to avoid the spread of the disease.

Nevertheless, as a country known for its experience in solving and dealing with global crises, including problems within the European Union, we believe it's only a matter of time, everything is normal for everyone to enjoy the amusing festivals again.

Meanwhile, we need to observe and obey the preventive measures the government has introduced to prevent the spread of the disease.

HOW CORRUPT IS THE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT IN THE HAGUE?

The International Criminal Court, for several years now, has actually failed to bring advanced countries' leaders to face the law for their crimes against humanity in the third world, especially in Africa.

Established based on the Rome Statute and adopted in 1998, the International Criminal Court (ICC, in The Hague, the Netherlands) initially began its work on July 1, 2002.

Dissatisfied and disappointed health workers, over how the Belgium Prime Minister, Sophie Wilmes, has handled the current coronavirus situation in the country,  showed their disrespect to their leader at the weekend.

The Prime Minister, who was visiting Saint-Pierre Hospital in Brussels in a convoy, was greeted by protesting health workers who turned their backs toward her.

Since the coronavirus emerged from Wuhan, China, December, last year, Sophie Wilmes’ government has faced several criticisms over the handling of the COVID – 19 pandemics.

Belgium has so far recorded 55,280 cases and 9,052 deaths but that doesn’t call for such disrespect to their Prime Minister, especially in a time like this that everyone needs support.

Africa is a continent that has suffered many tragedies, including slavery, colonial brutalities, Apartheid, Aids and Ebola pandemics, yet we neither treat our leaders nor those responsible whenever they visit Africa in this way.

This is a sign of weakness than unity and strength.  It’s a shame.

OBEYING THE RULES AT HOME TO AVOID THE SPREAD OF THE CORONAVIRUS

I have read much about biological weapons and diseases. Years back, if a prophet, a soothsayer, or anyone with a third-eye would have told me that an epidemic will appear and kill over 8,000 people in Belgium, I don't think I would have accepted it.


However, here I am today, in a state of shock and confusion, watching helplessly, as the death toll of victims of coronavirus keeps rising in a country that tourism has played a major role in its economy and has also lived peacefully for the past twenty years.

No matter how safe some families are, you need an extra-strength and courage to listen to the daily news with announcements about deaths from the coronavirus, and as the number of deaths keeps increasing daily, that makes one feels sometimes that there is no need to live in this world any longer.

I have been at home for almost two months. Even though some people may like to stay at home without work, this temporary confinement has taken its toll on me. A man needs to work hard to feed his family. Working helps to improve your health physically and psychologically.

As of May 8, 2020, the coronavirus pandemic has killed more than 151,797 people in Europe, three-quarters of which in Italy, Spain, France and the United Kingdom but the situation also in Belgium is alarming, taking into consideration the size of the country. Belgium has so far recorded 52,596 cases and 8,581 deaths.

My condolence to everyone in Belgium affected by this pandemic. It's only a matter of time, everything will be over. It's a very tough period for everyone but we need to be tougher, encourage, and motivate others to stay alive in this pandemic.

I tried to cut my own hair and eventually, I made a big hole in the process. I have no option than to continue obeying the law to stay at home and leave my beard like that of King Nebuchadnezzar. 

We have no specific role to play in this coronavirus crisis than to obey the law, avoiding social gatherings, and follow the hygienic rules recommended, avoiding the spread of the disease.

LITTLE BELGIUM BUT WHY SO MANY CORONAVIRUS DEATHS?

Belgium, like other European countries, observed the lockdown rules, keeping everyone at home. The police were on duty, making sure there aren't any public gatherings, to avoid the spread of the disease, yet Belgium has registered 49,517 cases, while the disease has already claimed  7,765 lives. Why little Belgium?

Living in a country with a population of fewer than 12 million people, with one of the best medical facilities, great doctors and health personnel, in the world, I consider 7,765 deaths to be relatively high in such a small country known for it best beer, waffles and chocolate productions.

What went wrong? This is something hard to explain, however, recently, the press and Belgian citizens heavily attacked the government led by Sophie Wilmes, accusing her of inefficiency. 

According to the country's health authorities, the data in question rather than the inadequacy of the responses put in place would be conditioned by the "maximum transparency" with which the data were communicated since the beginning of the epidemic.

In recent days, numerous articles and reports have relayed the fact that Belgium would be one of the countries most affected by the pandemic. The figures for the number of reported deaths in such a small country is frightening, indeed.

Another important factor is that those tested positive for coronavirus are slightly more in Flanders in proportion than the 

Wallonia. According to virologist Jean Ruelle at Le Moustique; the territory of Belgium is small but very populated. 

"If we look at the distribution of infected people by municipality, we can see very clearly that there is a relationship with the population density. Density is an important factor of propagation," he stressed.

Businesses and schools still remain shut, despite the Easter school holiday came to an end on 19 April. The government has given assurance that businesses and schools will soon open but whether it will be possible or not, depends on current and future situations.

More Appealing Efforts, As Belgium Fights Against Coronavirus Infections

Belgium's first case of the coronavirus was registered in February, however, today the figure of infections stands at 41,889, since the start of the outbreak., with 2,262 deaths.

According to health experts, the coronavirus  was transmitted from animals to humans in China in December 2019. The virus then mutated and became transmissible from person to person, spreading all over the world. 

Many are skeptical about this Wuhan coronavirus medical theory.

However, one fact which people can't ignore is that the disease is deadly. The common symptoms are fever and dry cough, which starts after about two days to even two weeks, like the flu.

Other possible coronavirus symptoms are fatigue sore throat, shortness of breath, headache,  diarrhea, and coughing up blood and mucus, however, the duration of this varies from person to person.

In mild symptoms, people have a sore throat, mild cough and fever up to 38.0 ° C. Pneumonia sometimes develops with moderate symptoms and does not require hospitalization. 

The coronavirus doesn't discriminate, it was first reported that it affects older people, yet the disease has killed a high number of young people, especially in Spain, Italy, and America.

The destructive force behind the virus has affected the global economy, rendered thousands of people unemployed, closing down schools, businesses, and confined many at home, just to avoid the spread of the disease. 

Belgium has one of the best medical facilities in the world, saving the lives of 9,433, yet the number of infected is still very high. 

It has been announced that schools may re-open on May 15, but it depends if by that time the rate of infection has subsided or very low. 

This is what everyone hopes and it is likely that the efforts of the government, medical staff, and the police, can make it possible. The government has since activated emergency measures to contain the outbreak.

The global coronavirus death rate stands at 2,648,318 (two million, six hundred and forty-eight thousand, three hundred and eighteen), while 184,614 (one hundred and eighty-four thousand, six hundred and fourteen) people are dead.
