THE IMMORTAL LIFE Of HENRIETTA LACKS

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

Her name was Henrietta Lacks, but scientists know her as HeLa. She was a poor black tobacco farmer whose cells, taken without her knowledge in 1951, became one of the most important tools in medicine, vital for developing the polio vaccine, cloning, gene mapping, and more.

Henrietta’s cells have been bought and sold by the billions, yet she remains virtually unknown, and her family can’t afford health insurance.

This phenomenal New York Times bestseller tells a riveting story of the collision between ethics, race, and medicine; of scientific discovery and faith healing; and of a daughter consumed with questions about the mother she never knew.

Christmas in Egypt and the celebration of traditions

Christmas festivities in Egypt

In Egypt, Christmas is more than simply a religious holiday; it's a chance to celebrate in a joyous atmosphere. Activities include going out in public, watching entertainment, and engaging in commercial activities that cater to all demographics.

One of the earliest Christian denominations to arise under the Pharaohs' reign is Egyptian Christianity. Between 536 and 580 AD, the Coptic Christian Church was founded. Although the Coptic Church is not regarded as an Orthodox Church by the rigorous church canon, the majority of contemporary Copts in Egypt practice a kind of Christianity that is comparable to Orthodox Christianity.

Since different Christian faiths in Egypt celebrate Christmas on different dates according to the Gregorian and Oriental calendars, this festival takes on a great deal of detail.

A religious sermon is given by priests, and the Copts and the Egyptian families dine following the service. Every year on the evening of January 6, churches that adhere to the Eastern calendar celebrate Christmas with thousands of Coptic Orthodox people.

The mass starts in the evening and ends early on January 7th. On this day, there are customs unique to the birth of Christ, such as special prayers, giving to the poor, and some Christmas music.

The customs of the Egyptians in celebrating Christmas

The celebration of Christmas in Egypt is marked by a variety of unique social customs and traditions, in addition to the religious rites observed by various denominations, making it a unique festival in Egyptian culture.

Egypt's tourism sector has made significant efforts to satisfy the demands of visitors since tourism is a top priority for the nation's economy. This relates to how the Orthodox and Catholic calendars prepare for and celebrate Christmas and the New Year. Egypt celebrates Christmas and the New Year three times a year.

Eating special foods that Egyptians prefer on Christmas Eve is one of the most prominent customs associated with the holiday. For many Egyptians, "fish" is the main meal, "cakes" are one of the unique sweets that are prepared and given to family and friends, and "maamoul" is made especially for the occasion.

Christmas trees, which are frequently the focal point of public areas in cities, are decorated with colorful lights and decorations, and churches are adorned with bells and sky-illuminating lighting to create a festive atmosphere across the entire nation.

Gift-giving between individuals and families is one of the genuine Christmas traditions since it allows friends and family to show their love and devotion for one another. Everybody gives gifts, which are mostly household goods, clothing, and kids' toys.

The best places to visit during the Christmas season in Egypt

Egypt provides a range of natural locations that are perfect for enjoying winter, combining temperate temperatures with breathtaking scenery and distinctive outdoor experiences.

The country's varied topography, which includes coastal reefs and desert oases, offers plenty of chances for nature enthusiasts looking for adventure and leisure throughout the cooler months.

With famous locations like the Hanging Church, St. Sergius Church, and the Coptic Museum in Coptic Cairo, which come to life with decorations and nativity scenes, this city is a must-see due to its rich Christian past.

The Cairo Opera House frequently produces Christmas-themed shows like The Nutcracker, and the city also stages events like Zed Park's Winter Wonderland, which features festive lights, attractions, and markets.

Luxor and Aswan: These Nile River cities have perfect winter weather for touring historic temples, including Abu Simbel, Luxor Temple, and Karnak, which are exquisitely lit at night.

Aswan is highly recommended due to its lower temperatures, beautiful river views, and accessibility to places like Elephantine Island and the Philae Temple. Nile cruises, which often feature festive meals and entertainment, are a popular way to experience the area during this time of year.

Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada: With their warm weather, sandy beaches, and colorful coral reefs that are suitable for diving and snorkeling, these Red Sea resorts offer the ideal environment for unwinding. A lively holiday ambiance is created by the several resorts that hold festive Christmas meals and events.

Alexandria: A coastal city that offers seafood specialties ideal for the chilly winter months, as well as historical sites like the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and Montazah Palace Gardens.

Siwa Oasis is a peaceful desert getaway with natural hot springs, distinctive scenery, and fantastic stargazing options that offer a calm substitute for the busier tourist destinations.

WWE IS A DECEITFUL EMPIRE BUILT ON DISHONESTY, CHEAT AND BETRAYAL

WWE poster

WWE poster

Everyone has his or her favorite sports. Mine is wrestling, but at times it's good to ask if it's worth watching WWE. World Wrestling Entertainment, owned and managed by Vince McMahon and family, has a bad reputation, often leading to conflicts with many of its past and present wrestlers.

What I've seen so far, there is no honesty and truth in WWE. It is a deceitful empire built on dishonesty, cheating, and betrayal by Vince McMahon and his family. It is not easy to manage WWE because there is no truth, and they don't want to run it in truth.

Referees are coached sometimes to favor the administration and other wrestlers, and when one fails to do 'the wrong' the management demands, he faces instant dismissal with the words "You are fired." In the name of 'It's good for business, there is hatred and discrimination in WWE.

Daniel Bryan is one of the greatest wrestlers in WWE. He has defeated John Cena, Kane, Randy Orton, and Triple H, yet the management, out of jealousy, has failed to acknowledge and recognize Daniel as the "Face of WWE." Under the instructions of Triple H and her wife, Kane tried to end Daniel Bryan's career a couple of weeks ago.

How can WWE fans continue to have faith in the sports when the whole WWE is under a bunch of tricksters and cunning liars? The cunning Vince McMahon left nothing good for his daughter and son-in-law to follow but lies, cheating, dishonesty, and betrayal.

Birds of the same feathers flock together. Vince McMahon is a liar and a cheat; therefore, her daughter Stephanie McMahon inherited the same disease from her father, and after marrying Triple H, he also automatically became one of the treacherous, dangerous, and wicked managers in the history of WWE.

Triple H calls himself king of kings, the game, cerebral assassin, but the cowardly wrestler uses a sledgehammer, while none of the great wrestlers, The Undertaker, Shaun Micheals, Stone Cold Austin, Goldberg, Hulk Hogan, Brock Lesnar, Edge, Bret Hart, etc, never used an object.

When any of the wrestlers speak against the management, they get punished in a country thriving on democracy. WWE thinks the management makes the wrestlers famous and rich, but one thing they forget is that, without the wrestlers, there wouldn't be WWE.

I strongly believe that the controversy surrounding Vince McMahon's WWE costs his wife Linda the Senate seat despite winning the Republican Party nomination. If the managers of WWE want the public and fans to take them seriously and stop calling WWE fake, then they should quit this life of dishonesty.

Men and women, which of them are the most faithful and sincere?

A cheating man caught red-handed

A cheating man caught red-handed

I write about many interesting issues, but I have never thought of writing about gender faithfulness or unfaithfulness to each other, when one day, someone asked me, "Why do most men die and leave behind their wives?"

I couldn`t find an answer to her question, then, without a thought, I said, "Because most men are unfaithful to their partners." I was surprised she was satisfied with my answer.

But is it very true that men fall short when it comes to dishonesty? Well, many men lie and cheat on their partners, but also women.

Most men cheat on their wives and girlfriends for several reasons, including lack of sexual satisfaction, biological problems that the woman is not aware of, but of which the man cannot speak. But with women? I keep on asking myself, "Why do they often cheat on their men?"

Are they also looking for sexual satisfaction or money? On Monday, 28 September 2009, whilst waiting at London`s Victoria Coach Station to join my bus to Dorset, a sad story caught my attention in an entertainment newspaper called "London Lite."

The story was about a woman who was allegedly strangled by her own husband after discovering that she was having an affair with another man.

The husband, after having enough evidence, including a secret taping of 127 hours of his wife's conversations with her lover, confronted his wife, who asked for a divorce. To me, that was a very good wife.

She did not deny her unfaithfulness but quickly asked for a divorce of which her man should have accepted the request and given her freedom.

Instead, he did the most stupid thing a man could do. Fearing the loss of his home, two children, and fortune, the jealous husband chose to kill his wife, pretending he did not know of her death.

The court heard of his wife`s previous adulterous adventures. Marriage always turns to a different angle of diverse problems when there isn`t any transparency, honesty, and faithfulness.

Even though I know that most men die leaving their partners, I can`t really say it is because of their unfaithfulness to their partners, since women also cheat on their husbands. But it is a fact that a greater percentage of men cheat on their wives than women.

Beyond the Taj Mahal: Unveiling the real India

The Bada Bagh

The Bada Bagh

India is a highly enigmatic nation, the cradle of the oldest civilization, the birthplace of Buddhism and Hinduism, and a hub for trade. For generations, Indians have engaged in some startling customs. The unique blend of old temples and magnificent palaces with busy bazaars and run-down shacks surprises many tourists visiting the nation.

Beautiful scenery, such as beaches, jungles, and mountain peaks, provides a backdrop for all of this diversity in India. Additionally, India is home to chic resorts that draw visitors from around the globe. Every year, more and more people are choosing to travel to India, a nation with a distinctive culture, philosophy, and centuries-old customs.

It is a country of stark contrasts, with impoverished neighborhoods situated close to the most opulent resorts in the world, which can enthrall even the pickiest tourists with their elegance and coziness.

A journey to India is an incredible adventure that will leave you with fresh and fascinating experiences because of the country's rich cultural and architectural legacy, its warm sea with sandy beaches, its subtropical landscapes, its friendly population, and its distinct national atmosphere.

The potential to learn more about the world and oneself can also be greatly enhanced by a vacation to India. Ancient architectural monuments, numerous museums, the well-known Golden Triangle route, the majestic Himalayas, the holy Ganges, the enigmatic Tibet, the Western Ghats' jungles, and numerous coastal resorts are just a few of the many attractions that make up this wonderful nation's pride.

Geographical location

Situated on the Indian subcontinent in the center of Asia, India is encircled by the Indian Ocean, which includes the Bay of Bengal to the east and the Arabian Sea to the west. India is more than 3,000 kilometers long in both directions, and its land boundary is more than 15,000 kilometers long. In terms of total land area, India ranks seventh globally. The nation shares borders with Burma and Bangladesh to the east, Pakistan to the northwest, and Nepal, China, and Bhutan to the north. It is separated from Sri Lanka to the south by a narrow strait.

The population

India is home to more than a billion people, making it the second-most populous country in the world. The people there are welcoming, amiable, and open-minded. They treat every visitor with sincere curiosity, consideration, and care because they think that any deity can come to Earth as a guest.

Characteristics of the mindset

Indians are not accustomed to publicly expressing their emotions. For instance, it is improper for couples to touch hands in public, much less embrace and kiss. You may see the image of Indian males walking hand in hand at the same moment. This represents friendship and is regarded as the standard.

Strangely enough, locals are quite emotional and restrained; if the other person begins to raise their voice or make aggressive gestures, the Indian can just stop the conversation.

Women cover their long, loose hair with a headscarf or tie it up in a ponytail since it is considered improper. Indian women should wear loose garments to conceal their legs as well. At the entrance of a house, temple, or hospital, shoes must be taken off. In India, joining the fingers of both hands is a common welcoming gesture.

Religion

Here, practically every major faith in the world coexists. Over 10% of the population is Muslim, and about 80% of the population is Hindu. Buddhists, Christians, Parsis, Sikhs, Jains, and adherents of various religions can also be found in India.

Language

English and Hindi are the official languages, while some governments additionally recognize regional tongues like Bengali and Tamil.

The best time to visit

After the monsoon rains have subsided, September is thought to be the ideal time of year to travel to India. Since the weather is perfect for traveling throughout the nation and taking a leisurely vacation, November and December often see the highest visitor traffic.

Where to stay

All of India's major vacation cities have hotels ranging from two to five stars. Nonetheless, lodging in a so-called guest house—a hostel or "non-star" hotel that offers only the bare necessities of a bed, a kitchen, and a shower—can result in cost savings. Ashram communities offer nearly free lodging and meals to unassuming tourists, but it's vital to remember that the surroundings are somewhat spartan.

In India, as in the majority of other nations, tips typically represent around 10% of the overall bill. Although they are included in the final bill in large hotels, it is nevertheless common to pay porters about five rupees and maids two to three rupees.

The capital

New Delhi, a subdivision of Delhi, the world's third-largest city, serves as India's official capital. More than 11 million people call it home. All of the nation's differences may be seen in this capital city: fancy vehicles and bullock carts coexist, modern skyscrapers merge with old ruins, and trendy young people live side by side with devout hermits.

Tens of thousands of internationally recognized historical and cultural landmarks that span thousands of years can be found in Delhi. Among the city's most important tourist destinations are Humayun's Tomb, the Gateway of India, the magnificent Agra Fort on the banks of the holy Yamuna River, the Nizamuddin Dargah, the largest mosque in the country, the Lodhi Gardens, the magnificent Lotus Temple, and more.

In the capital, buses are the most widely used form of transportation, making up over half of all traffic. From the railway station in Delhi, you can travel to any part of India.

Beach resorts

Indian resorts are well-known for their beach vacations, and travelers frequently travel to Goa, the state that is most renowned in this regard. It is situated on the Arabian Sea coast in the southeast of the nation. In addition to its quaint cafes and restaurants, this region is well-known for its serene and charming bays and flat-bottomed coves. Well-known local diving schools provide a wide variety of equipment for diving in the ocean waters.

Goa is separated into two regions, even though not the most affordable by local standards, the southern portion is a cozy resort with first-rate hotels and sophisticated infrastructure. There are affordable options for young people in the northern portion of the state, which is home to bars, nightclubs, and other entertainment establishments.

The Arabian Sea washes the state's beaches, which are the most visited in the nation. Every beach has a distinctive kind of sand. Palolem and Anjuna beaches, for instance, are renowned for their white sand, Kolwa beaches for their silver sand, and Arambol beaches for their vivid yellow sand that gleams in the sunlight like gold.

The sand on the majority of the other beaches is fine and light. Vagator Beach provides the chance to dance to the beats of the well-known Goa trance all night long, while Calangute, dubbed "the turquoise" for its remarkable hue of coastal waves, is well-known for its pop discos.

Mumbai offers both a beach and restaurants serving a wide range of dishes, from South Asian exoticism to European cuisine and fast food, as well as discos where Bollywood stars enjoy themselves, if you want to experience both the excitement of a big city and a beach vacation.

The beaches of the Bay of Bengal will appeal to people who have been to India to see the mangroves, coconut and eucalyptus forests, and who like to see national parks and reserves in addition to relaxing on the beach. Every beach in India is open to the public and free.

Excursions

In India's capital, Delhi, there are a lot of fascinating excursions. The city is home to numerous historical landmarks and architectural wonders, including beautiful arches, abandoned strongholds, and old royal complexes. Numerous churches of different faiths may be found in Delhi, including a Hindu temple and a Muslim mosque with minarets and a cross-shaped dome.

The capital is also the location of several mausoleums, which include sultan tombs, saints' shrines, and monuments honoring J. Nehru and Indira Gandhi. The Great Fort, the Mughal capital of Agra, with its expansive palace, park, and temple complex, the renowned Taj Mahal, the Pearl Mosque, opulent tombs, and a stunning water park, is a fascinating place to explore.

The Majestic Fortress of Agra

The holy city of Mathura, where Krishna is said to have been born, is a stop on the route from Delhi to Agra. Travelers often take the Golden Triangle tour, which covers Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Mathura, Fatehpur Sikri, and Vrindavan. Another intriguing destination is the Ellora Caves, a collection of 34 rock-cut caverns devoted to Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism.

Kerala, a state in the southwest of the Indian subcontinent, is well-known for its stunning beaches, canals, palaces, and temples. The Dutch Palace Museum, which houses the St. Francis Cathedral and the oldest synagogue, is located there.

Traveling to the Himalayas, which are home to communities of Buddhist monks, will leave visitors with unique sensations. Many people travel here to see the sacred sites and reflect alone on the mysteries of the cosmos and the meaning of life. For meditation and prayer, such seekers of truth and self-awareness should go to an ashram-abode, which can be a whole city block or a mountain cave.

Purchases

India is a wonderful place for a comprehensive shopping trip, since you can make a lot of successful purchases because costs are cheap and negotiating is always acceptable. In India, carpets are the most widely used and reasonably priced product.

In addition, there are several premium materials available here at competitive costs, including cashmere, chiffon, brocade, cotton, wool, and silk. Silver and precious stone jewelry (pearls, sapphires, diamonds, rubies, and moonstone) are also taken by tourists.

India's delicious foods

Many people are aware that the use of a lot of spices and condiments is fundamental to Indian cuisine. Curry, a blend of ginger, turmeric, cardamom, and nutmeg, holds a unique place among them. The use of spices in national cuisine is regarded as a true art form and has a special meaning.

Particularly well-liked in India are vegetarian meals and desserts prepared with paneer (homemade cheese), yogurt, almonds, and fruits. On the seaside, seafood meals are also well-liked. The most popular side dishes are rice, chapati and puri, and dal, a type of bean.

One Indian food is palak paneer, which is spinach with cottage cheese.

One Indian food is palak paneer, which is spinach with cottage cheese.

Chocolate can be a wonderful present from a guest to the hosts because it is fairly pricey in India. The revitalizing "masala tea, "tea flavored with cardamom, cinnamon, and ginger, is the primary beverage in India. Another well-liked beverage is lassi, a yogurt-based concoction made with water, sugar, salt, spices, fruits, and ice.

Transportation

Roads in India are very narrow, and traffic is on the left. Additionally, during periods of strong traffic, cows, oxen, and even elephants may cross the highway. You can hire a motorbike rickshaw, a bicycle rickshaw, or a taxi in any city. The majority of transit options have comparatively cheap costs.

It's crucial to pay attention to the meter and the fare when using a cab, though. The price of transportation goes up by 1.5 to 2 times at night. Although taking the metro is preferable in the nation's capital and taking the train is the most convenient way to travel to another city, it makes sense to purchase a return ticket as soon as possible, particularly during the busiest travel times.

Currency

The rupee is the country's currency. The import and export of Indian rupees is prohibited. Using a currency exchange agency is the most practical way to convert dollars into local currencies. Traveler's checks and international credit cards like Visa and Mastercard are accepted at the majority of stores and eateries.

Holidays

India offers a vast array of holidays, many of which are worthy of consideration. Religious and state festivities are quite important. The nation celebrates August 15 as Independence Day, commemorating the day it was freed from British domination.

All government offices and organizations are closed on this important national holiday in India, and the majority of private businesses also give their staff members a day off. Every city and town commemorates the gaining of sovereignty with a variety of rituals and cultural activities. In the evening, hundreds of lights are ignited, and flags are used to decorate the streets.

One of India's biggest national holidays is Republic Day. It is observed on January 26 of each year. The capital city's celebrations are especially opulent and patriotic. Officially, Republic Day is a public holiday. On this day, hundreds of thousands of people travel to see relatives and acquaintances.

Hindus celebrate Ramanavami, which marks the birth of Lord Rama. In India, Navaratri is one of the biggest and most elaborate celebrations. It is observed for nine days and three times a year. The Cobra Festival is among the most vibrant and spectacular celebrations on the planet. It happens in July and August, when these icy animals come out of their underground lairs. A deity who wears live snakes as necklaces is honored at the celebration.

Security measures

Drinking raw water, rinsing your mouth with it, or purchasing chilled beverages on the street are all discouraged in India. Additionally, raw vegetable salads and dairy products (such as ice cream) manufactured from unpasteurized milk should be avoided. Avoid swimming as much as possible in nearby lakes, rivers, and ponds.

It is best to keep valuables in the hotel safe and to pay special attention to items while in transit because pocket theft and luggage theft are widespread in India. Avoiding contact with animals is also advised. Any cuts, even minor scrapes, need to be cleaned right away.

Recommendations

It is customary to approach all structures, religious buildings in particular, from the left. Additionally, before you enter, you should remove your shoes. Indian hotel sockets are not in line with European or even other state requirements. Asking the hotel personnel about the network data is preferable.

MERYL STREEP SHOULDN`T HAVE PORTRAYED MARGARET THATCHER IN A FILM

Meryl Streep

Meryl Streep

The film is not only entertainment but also generates a lot of money for the industry, especially when the film is good. Many films are based on true events, and some of the stories are very inspiring.

Regarding Margaret Thatcher, the former British Prime Minister`s film `The Iron Lady` role played by which Meryl Streep, in my point of view, I see nothing special about Margaret Thatcher that her story has to be acted upon as a film.

Margaret Thatcher was one of the biggest racists who supported Apartheid in her era. As prime minister, she opposes immigrants, and even though it was wrong for immigrants to get council houses ahead of `white citizens.'

Yet she forgets that Jamaican immigrants were those who built the British railway connection with blood, sweat, and tears.

During her rule as Britain`s prime minister, South Africa suffered naked repression of terrorist acts, at the hands' successive Apartheid governments, without emotion, and when the victims and anti-apartheid activists and the ANC tried to fight for justice, she branded them as  `terrorists.'

It isn`t amazing when David Cameron, the present prime minister, tries to disassociate himself from Margaret Thatcher due to her bad policies during the Apartheid era.

I quote `Mr. Mandela was one of the greatest men alive. The mistakes my party made in the past with respect to relations with ANC and sanctions on South Africa make it more important to listen now, said Mr. David Cameron.

What makes Margaret Thatcher's governance so special to earn her the name `Iron Lady'? I don't even think South Africa would welcome this film when released.

According to Saturday's edition, December 3, 2011, of ``, Baroness Thatcher will not see a film of her life, because she does not watch films or programs about her. How could she watch when her bad conscience and wrongdoings haunt her while watching programs of herself?

I am really surprised that a great actress like Meryl Streep could accept a role, portraying Margaret Thatcher in a film, knowing very well the crimes this woman committed against humanity during her era in South Africa.

Film lovers may enjoy this film, but victims of racism, discrimination, and apartheid will put this film in the trash even when distributed free of charge.

JEROME DUFOSSE MARLEY, A MUSICIAN WITH A UNIQUE SKILL

Jerome Dufosse Marley

Jerome Dufosse Marley

Many musicians create something unique to make a difference. Jimi Hendrix was a talented guitarist who could play the American National Anthem with his teeth. Eek - a - Mouse is a prolific reggae star who created a unique style of singing, which instantly gave him international recognition.

One musician who has created something different in the field of drumming and has made a name for himself is Jerome. He is a musician who expresses his talent through incredible drumming feats since 1996, when he left his native France to live in England.

Jerome's talent, which is combined with visual performance and the use of the body to convey the emotion of his music, is well-reviewed by the British Media.

Born in France on May 7, 1966, Jerome was inspired by diverse music in the early stages of his music career. As a big fan of Bob Marley, inspired by his music and lyrics, Jerome changed his name to Marley.

In entertainment, he is seen as a different musician, due to his ability to play drums in an unusual way, 360 degrees, which has never been done or tried by any musician.

'The Jerome Experience' is a musical skill to be remembered for his talent behind the drum kit. His latest adventure is about to be unveiled as mad and different, as he likes to be described, by creating a concept of a show by playing the drums upside down in a rotating hamster wheel, powered by an electric motor.

It is unbelievably different and awesome to see one of the many shows performed by Jerome. He is proud of the one he did last year, competing with other 798 drummers as an event organized by 'StickittoMS', which raised almost £100,000 for Multiple Sclerosis.

The Jerome Experience is available to participate in live concerts and festivals. He invites everyone to join the Jerome Experience project. Do you want to be a fan of Jerome? He is on Facebook.

Experience tourism in Mexico, where passion blooms

Musicians entertaining in Mexico

Musicians entertaining in Mexico. Photo credit: Travelbus.com

Mexico is a place that leaves everyone with the desire to repeat a visit. Travelers from all over the world are drawn to the region by its distinctive culture, varied scenery, and ideal temperature because of its well-developed infrastructure. Travel is both comfortable and, with the right safety measures, absolutely safe. People travel to Mexico to take in the native cuisine, bathe in the Caribbean Sea's azure waters, and unwind on its immaculate beaches.

The nation's pre-Columbian architectural marvels and its quaint old neighborhoods that still have the allure of the colonial past are other attractions that entice tourists. Active travelers can visit the nation's national parks and partake in a variety of water sports. The country's lively festivals, when regional singers and dancers showcase their skills, add to its allure.

The majority of Mexicans go to church on Sundays, and the population is devout. Several different civilizations have left their mark on the nation's rich cultural legacy. Many of the nation's craftspeople employ age-old methods that have been handed down through the generations. About 60% of Mexico's land is covered by mountains, and the nation celebrates its national holidays with considerable grandeur, including large-scale parades, dance, and music.

The Transverse Volcanic Sierra divides the Eastern and Western Sierra Madre mountain ranges, which run along the eastern and western boundaries. The country's center is home to the biggest and most exquisite lakes, the largest of which is Chapala Lake. Mexico's principal river, the Rio Bravo, runs parallel to the US border.

The nation's 9,300-kilometer coastline provides access to the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean Sea, the Pacific Ocean, and the Gulf of California. Mexico has a distinct rainy season and a primarily subtropical climate. Although the country has mild temperatures all year round, travel might be difficult from May to September due to high humidity and severe rainfall.

The weather gets erratic during this time, with hurricanes and cyclones possible. The winter months are characterized by sunny skies, little precipitation, and temperatures that hardly ever get over +30°C. The year-round temperatures in Mexico's north range from +20°C to +24°C, whereas in the south, they range from +24°C to +27°C.

Mexico's peak season runs from November through May. After the rainy season, travelers can take advantage of the pleasant weather and lush vegetation during this period. Between mid-December and mid-April, when the nation sees a spike in travel, hotel rates soar, and because of the intense heat and frequent rains, summer is a less suitable time of year to travel.

Although Mexico provides great beach holidays, every coast has its own distinct characteristics. Sun-seekers who love swimming in blue waters, diving, and snorkeling, as well as relaxing on white sand beaches, flock to the Caribbean. Californians looking for a luxurious and top-notch vacation spot frequently visit the Yucatán Peninsula, which provides a variety of tourist attractions along with first-rate beach infrastructure.

The Pacific shore is known for its stunning scenery and darker sand. It is a well-liked location for anyone looking for a tranquil escape from the bustle of the city. There are numerous hotels and bungalows in the area that are situated right on the sand and provide breathtaking views of the ocean all day long. Playa Los Muertos, Puerto Vallarta's main beach, is a popular destination for tourists because of its many cafes and fine dining establishments. Sayulita is a well-liked surfing spot, and Cabo is the best place to go snorkeling.

Resorts in Mexico

One of the top ten resorts in the world is Cancun. Here, visitors may enjoy a holiday in opulent hotels that are just a short stroll from kilometers of sandy beaches, participate in a variety of sports, eat at restaurants serving international cuisine, and attend discos and nightclubs. Scuba divers travel from all over the world to Cancun, which is home to one of the best diving facilities. Boats transport visitors to places where they can explore sunken Spanish galleons, dive into coral reefs, and see vibrant fish.

One of the nation's oldest resorts is Acapulco.
